Hold up. "Being John Malkovich" is being talked about in the same thread as "Troll 2" and "The Room"???

Ah hell naw.

You honestly took that movie seriously? I may have to rethink...how I think.

Between the guy making creepy puppets of people he'd like to bang, people randomly falling out of the sky onto the New Jersey turnpike, Cusack's wife randomly turning hardcore lesbian, Cameron Diaz being obessed with monkeys, Cusack working on half of a floor originally made for midgets, Cusack's boss thinking he had a speech impediment when he had perfect speech, Cameron Diaz looking surprisingly fugly, and many more things, i'm not sure I get it. And i'm usually receptive of "out there" movies.

Edit: I mean, i've never seen Troll 2 and The Room, and based on the awesome clips i'm sure they are worse than Malkovich. But that doesn't mean it still wasn't terrible (IMO at least).

The lack of Plan 9 from Outer Space in this thread is appalling. Easily the worst movie of all-time.

worst scene

City of Angels, the one with Nicholas Cage and Meg Ryan.

Meg is riding a bike, eating an apple. Nicholas Cage is taking a shower. Shot of a truck. Shot of Meg. Shot of Nick. Truck. Apple. Meg, Nick....repeat. Increase frequency. Hightened music. Quicker quicker quicker!!!!

Please GOD, HAVE THE BLOODY TRUCK HIT MEG ALREADY...!!!!

and of course, as I remember, a shot of the apple rolling away

AWEFUL. The Worst. Tripe! Hack! I expected Dan Akroyd to jump in with an episode of "Bad Cinema"

Not to be believed.

AND it is a sorta take on the Wim Wenders Wings of Desire, which I watched in it's entirety and which is actually good.

People like this movie. People like American Cheese. People like country music. People like Friends. Some days....

I liked BJM.

Charlie Kaufman is a great writer. His stuff is out there, but I think he's the goods.

My favorite Kaufman script is Adaptation. Probably one of my favorite films of the aughts.

I'm gonna have to get hammered and watch "The Room".

At first I thought it was just a bad dub job. But oh no.

The Room is shown in film schools as an example of what not to do, which is precisely why it's so fun to watch. It's pure comedy gold.

One of the best scenes:

The conversation has absolutely no bearing on the plot and the topic is never mentioned thereafter.
"Just gotta stand in front of him," Butler said, as if it were simple.

The Room, Troll 2, are embarassments to anyone who considers himself a filmmaker or artist. No one could say that about Being John Malkovitch, which is quirky and weird but not (Please Use More Appropriate Word).

No scene featuring Chris Sarandon proudly rocking the '80s 'stache can ever be a contender for worst all-time.

Can't believe nobody has posted this one yet.

More of a contender for worst line than worst acting though, guy said it pretty smooth, and if he was Leonardo DiCaprio or something it might just work 1 time out of 100.

It's time for Derrick Rose to do the same! - LOL Max Only!
