The Bucks won 46 games last year, and they'll be better.

Let's not act like they're gonna be a pushover.
Scottie Pippen's response to whom he would pick for his running mate, Michael or LeBron: "That's a dumbass question. I've never done anything with LeBron. I wouldn't take LeBron to the movies."

Atlanta is bringing a team that has peaked and isn't getting any better back. JJ isn't getting better, Bibby is getting worse, Josh Smith is what he is at this point (IMO). I'm a Horford fan and he probably isn't done improving, but he hasn't gotten as good as fast as I thought he would.

I think our new squad can beat them out. Keep in mind they almost certainly won't win a division they share with Miami AND Orlando unless both those teams suffer tragic plane crashes. So if we win our far less challenging division, we'll have the better seed at the very least.

I think Boston will still probably be better than us in the playoffs, but I expect them to take the same precautions with minutes and wear and tear as they did in the 2nd half of this year, except even more so. They could easily coast to 45 or so wins or and save their last big run as a unit for the playoffs.

And I personally think Boozer and Korver (and probably another addition or two to come) will make us substantially better than last year - where we won 41 games despite a wave of injuries, no post presence and no outside shooting to speak of. The injuries are an obvious concern with Deng and Boozer, but we have an inside game and at least one good shooter now. We're rounding into a balanced team.

We shall see though. The chemistry might not work, there could be injuries, etc.

Was there a Big Lebowski reference in there?

I've been dropping them left and right the last couple days.

Earlier I said Joe Johnson on a reasonable contract would have really tied the roster together, for example.

They're not pushovers, but with the addition of Boozer and Korver we're definitely better. Plus we still have room to continue adding pieces. And JMO but I really believe that spot would've been ours had Noah not been out for all that time.

We were tanking and we won 41 games <_< If Rose and Noah stay healthy (aka 75-82 games played each) and Boozer plays at least 70 games, we'll win 50, I guarantee it.

Actually I really disliked that movie overall but some hilarious lines and pretty good acting.

But that's just, like, my opinion, man.

You and I are usually on the same page, so I don't say this often, but your opinion is wrong. Quantifiably, verifiably wrong. Want proof? SHUT UP, THAT'S MY PROOF.

in all seriousness, I wasn't a huge fan the first time I saw it - it was only after friends forced me to give it another shot that I grew to love it. It's not for everyone though.

So, something I haven't seen talked about much, but I figure this is as good a place as any. How much does losing Thibs hurt Boston, especially considering they've come to rely more and more on defense keeping them competitive?

Ah, I should watch it again.

To be fair, I saw it at the theatre on a first date with someone who didn't really have a sense of humor.

It'll be interesting to see if that holds true going forward. I'm a Salmons fan. I could easily see the Bulls and Bucks duking it out for the 4 seed.

Again, isn't this the year Skiles' team turns on him? Or is that in a year or two.

Its gonna happen folks. History will repeat itself. I just don't know when.

Has anyone heard anything on how Jennings is working this summer?

I see him dropping off this season, having the attitude that he has this **** down, or something, and that he doesn't have to fight for it.

i think its certainly possible. I think Maggette may possess of the cancerous traits that Ben Wallace had, we'll just have to wait and see.

Milwaukee should be good, not great. Maggette adds offensive firepower but he's not a good match with Salmons; both are more ISO players. Gooden is mediocre at best, which is their achilles heel. Cliff Levingston is guessing they'll win around 46-48 games.

The Bulls, provided we add another decent 2 and add some more depth here and there, we're damn near a lock for at least 50 wins unless we get hit by injuries.

Nice necro-thread bump. But you do deserve it. You were the only person here to predict a 1 seed in this entire thread 8-)
