Kurt Thomas To Portland

ESPNSteinLine Marc Stein
Frontcourt enforcer Kurt Thomas, I'm strongly told, headed to Portland on two-year deal. Blazermaniacs deserve some good news

Damn. Damn. We probably should have signed him for two years if that was what it took.

Dammit that sucks. Is there anyone available that can play a similar role as Kurt played? Really like having him as an insurance policy for the annual Noah injury

Gotta hold on to Omer now unless we're trading for Dwight.

This stings. I really wanted us to bring Kurt back. But you have to believe that when the Bulls were basically advertising through KC Johnson that Kurt was likely to come back that this Dwight Howard thing must have affected that unless Portland is paying Kurt ala Houston did to Brad Miller last season.

On another note, will Asik officially be the new Big Sexy, now?

Wow that changes everything.

With limited bigs out there, I guess our 5th big man could come up from the D League (Chris Richard?), waivers in March, or someone completely washed up could sign here.

Jeff Foster? After last year's playoff series that doesn't seem too likely.
