I loved the first 3-peat team, but that 1995 team is when I really became cemented as a Bulls fan. While, I don't think the Bulls have a Pippen caliber player (maybe not even a Kukoc quality player at the moment), there are some parallels to be drawn with that situation. They were one awful foul call away from the ECF. They would have had a great chance against Indiana in the ECF.

1994 playoffs not 95. but do remember that one and i was 100% all chi. that foul on hubert davis was bs. bulls were better and ewing wit his traveling running move was pure crime. but seeing indiana beat them how they did was good. i was in the eigth grade back then and lived in new jersey so the knicks fans were livid. i didnt know reggie miller game was running to the ball and shooting each time until that series. it was funny and knick fans so mad saying is that all he does.

These buck up pieces are coming because people in Chicago could smell it: we were definitely on our way to #7.

Now the mountain is more intimidating. So everyone is giving their "brave heart" speech. I like it.
Derrick Rose could have avoided all the drama with his front office:

a) By accepting a shorter deal with

b) An opt out clause.

He didn't do that.

I want to see Rose on the bench cheering his team on! Just him being with the team gives them inspiration and strength. We've worked too hard not to get #7.

#4 on the list of "Biggest Wuss-Outs in Sports History"

4. Scottie Pippen
In 1994, Pippen was so hurt that his number wasn't called with 1.8 seconds left and the score tied in a playoff game vs. the Knicks, he refused to get off the bench. Toni Kukoc buried the winner, cementing Pippen's place on this list.

Thanks for the letter Pip!

I love the line about "answering the call."

I am so glad Pippen is still a big part of the organization.

wow get over it already, everyone makes a bad decision every now and then. I cannot believe that some fans still emphasize on this again and again.

This was a great letter, just go on and fire them up Pip!

That can't be it. Dwyane Wade told us the Bulls organization isn't loyal.

Pip has kind of become what Magic is to the Lakers or Russell is to the Celtics; a great ambassador for the organization.

Agree...He made a mistake of asking for the ball to prove that he can do it. We don't know the background entirely too. There is an element where Phil could have setup this play for Kukoc(in practice) and advise Pippen that he might call it to set Pippen as a decoy.
What if Kukoc had missed? Would Phil do the same to MJ and would he have accepted it?

That said, Pippen with his voice should have commanded even Phil. He has that special tone or voice and I can think of only two people who have that. Pip and Bill Clinton. Clinton mesmerized everyone and Pip could have done the same at the minimum in basketball with his voice and smart basketball knowledge.

Unbelievable talent on the court and one of the greatest players of all time. Off the court, I've met him and have had several encounters years back and he was/is a total dick. So yeah, my overall impression of him is probably a little different than yours. But that's just human nature.

We can easily win the series, the players only need to notice their own value. They are a bunch of headless chickens who forgot they have a head.

It's a team sport. I think Thibs should forbid to mention Rose in the locker room, because the problem is, if everyne around you says without rose it's tough to beat Phillly, then you start believing that bull as well.
"Watching how things are going, I see how things are going," Thibodeau said following Game 3. "I watch very closely. I watch very closely. What I'm seeing is, we'll adjust accordingly."
