Tony Allen>Carlos Boozer???

Postby Wharton Alum 08 on Sat Sep 08, 2012 1:02 pm

I know Boozer hasn't been what everyone thought he would be but this is just a little absurd looking at these player rankings on CBSSports.com Boozer comes in as the 62nd best player in the NBA and Tony Allen checks in at 60???  Let alone some of the other names ahead of him.

David West and David Lee ahead of him. Natives might get restless.

John Wall at 52 though? I guess potential is a factor in this ranking...

Not offensively, but the defensive difference is so great that Tony Allen is a better asset. Allen can win you games using his defense, Boozer can can make layups.

apples and oranges. Both players are better than the other would be on the team they are currently on. I think Boozer is the far more "valuable" player in that he's much less replaceable IMO.

I don't really like this list. There are a lot of people I would've ahead of Boozer. Some because of potential like Klay Thompson. Some because of their intangibles that also still have a good skill set like Andre Miller. And Players that are flat out better than Boozer like Paul George and O.J Mayo. Plus they had John Wall way to low

I'd take David West over Boozer at this point.

David Lee's a tougher choice, but I think I'd do the same with him...

There really isn't much difference between the 3 in terms of impact IMO. Boozer and Lee have the better stats. West is more of a legit second option than the other 2.

David West is definitely the most complete player of the three. Lee and Booz are about a tossup, I'm not a big fan of either.

David West USED to be really good. His last season after the torn ACL was not nearly as good as his previous ones in New Orleans.

He played better to end the year, so he may return to old form. But for last year, Boozer easily outperformed him.

Lee and Boozer are a toss up? Lee is the better player without question and he''s cheaper.
