He doesn't understand the need for subs, offense sets are not that good either.
WTF do you expect him to do? Look at the players he's handed. You're really blaming Thibs when his entire bench got replaced with vet min scrubs and we signed a past his prime Kirk **** Hinrich to a $4 mil/year deal to start at PG?
The bench is terrible. Starters like Noah and Deng have to play almost the entire game because without them, the Bulls would get run out of the gym by any decent team in the league. Belinelli and Nazr are trash, Nate is what he is, and Taj hasn't shown up this season.
Agreed - Thibs has limited options but that lineup to begin the 2nd clearly wasn't working, that's where you gotta sub in Teague and Butler
But even when our bench was deep last year, he would ride his starters in the regular season so they would be exhausted in the PO (Deng & Rose). A clear example of this is when he kept playing Rose when the game was over against Philly.
Thibs is a great regular season coach but Pops is still the best. Thibs has to learn to change it up when it's not working and not ride his starters to death during the regular season leaving them exhausted.
