Boozer has got to get EC player of the week. He has been ridiculous. I know we have another game tomorrow, but if he puts up decent stats, whether we win or lose, I would think that he'd have to get the nod. if he keeps it up, he'll also be in contention for EC player of the month.

We really let them off the hook. We were dominating in the first quarter, but sloppy play to include turnovers, lazy rebounding, and absolutely no interior/transition D pretty much erased that.
But we hung tough and really battled tonight. No Rose, Lu goes down, no problem. Could have folded so many times, but kept fighting. Something about the Celtics.

Surprised that Kirk hits a huge shot and Marco wins it for us. Very nice.

Noah on Garnett:
http://espn.go.com/chicago/nba/story/_/ ... rty-player
"Just trying to throw elbows," Noah said of Garnett. "Cheap shots, just trying to get you off your game. But he's a vet. He's been doing this a long time but it's all right."
Noah, who stated in a 2010 interview with ESPN Chicago's "Waddle and Silvy" that Garnett was "mean ... and ugly," especially to foreign players, was asked if he felt Garnett ever crossed the line.
"Nah," he said. "When we lose, I feel like he crosses the line. But since we've been beating their asses, I'm cool with it."

Re: PG: JIMMY ICE BUCKETS TELLS RONDA TO SUCK IT!!
Loved sooo much about this game tonight. Especially the post game thread. I've read every single post cause it just feels so good to hear so much praise mixed with the slightest of constructive criticism and completely devoid of any annoying bashing of any one player. Hinrich and Beli didn't have superb all around games, but made the two biggest shots to force the board to lay off them a bit tonight. Awesome, just awesome (Booz, Rip, Noah, Butler, Nate, all superb games!)
Did hate missing all those free throws towards the end, had me bashing my head like I belonged in an insane asylum. I don't get it, across the board we are actually a very solid FT% team, right? Deng - 82, Booz - 73, Noah - 80, Rip - 91, Jimmy - 83, Nate - 83, Beli - 83, Taj - 71...Hinrich really the only rotation guy struggling this year at 68 (Booz and Taj aren't bad for their postion long as they keep it above 70). YET, I feel like I'm constantly pulling my hair out because of missed FTs late. Is it really a problem for us this year...or is my memory just reflective of some psychological phenomenon concerning remembering the negative?
Regardless, they pulled this one out with discipline and guts. That Noah/Butler trap was the bomb! Hubie said they both fouled Pierce...maybe Butler got something but that would have been such a puny call for how the game had been called (they really let both sides bang much of the night, thought it was fairly called overall) and I thought Noah was perfectly clean there and got his hands around the ball quickly.
Beli's not getting the shooter's roll recently so it was awesome to see that shot go down. Didn't like the play where he held onto it the full 24 and got stuck in corner though, but (and I'm not trying to make excuses) that and some of our other miscues you gotta give Boston at least some credit for excellent D. The whole Beli iso thing might be working great to end games recently, but he's getting to the basket every time, showing capable handling and penetration, and if he keeps working on it in practice and remaining confidant he'll start getting the roll.
JIMMY MUFFAQQIN' BUTLER! I hope he is a Bulls lifer. The way he's developing though, it'll be hard to keep ahold of him with only limited minutes available. That's why, if he can put a lil more arc on his shot and hit from range with just a tad bit more consistency, I can very much envision him becoming a Popovich-esque starting SG. The key would be having a Ginobli/Crawford scoring SG off the bench behind him. Even without range, Butler is not a liability on offense. Sure, we might not hit many threes and therefore our ultimate points per possession might drop a bit, but Butler is great asset for an offense with Noah and Booz...like Hubie mentioned at one point about the Bulls needing to get the ball inside the three-point line and then there movement just turns their offense into a thing of beauty (he was specifically talkin bout that Hinrich to Butler dunk I think).
Hope Deng can get back within a week, but the rest should be nice, seeing Butler with starter's minutes will be real nice, maybe Cook will get a lil extended run too and be able to showcase the element he brings (that range).
Three tough games coming up in this home stretch. Winning at least 3 of 4 of these home games would be REALLY SWEET. Think it will be a close game tomorrow. Obviously we had a hard fought game tonight, but Memphis has Gay, Gasol, Conley, Allen all log 37+ min and ZBo is likely out. So excited (but really wanting to beat LA and have a nice win streak going...hope the Bulls players aren't thinking ahead like I am though).
One love
