Carroll's not spectacular, but he can hit the three and rebound's solidly. He'd be a nice fifth starter or bench player.

Green doesn't demand touches and he's versatile and athletic.. Underrated defensively, can guard big small forwards..

Green makes 9.2 mil and Dunleavy makes 3.2 mil. The only contracts that we could send to match salary is Mirotic (with filler), Taj or Gasol. Basically, Green isn't really an option because I can't see trading any of those guys to get Green.

I considered it but he might be donezo, not sure how much he has left in the tank.

I've heard a few people mention him as an option, but I can't see a way you can attain him financially without including Taj, which I wouldn't do.

Assuming there's no other way?

Dunleavy+Snell+Bairstow+Moore

See I like that trade... but if say the Celtics were to agree, they would have 18 players. What 3 players would they drop? Seems like they would have to eat alot of salary to make that happen. And Bulls would clearly need to add a pick.

Boston's not doing a 4 for 1 trade like that.. Rumor has it they're insisting on a 1st-round pick for Green. I'd be interested in Mcdermott/Bulls' 1st or the Kings' 1st.. Or Taj, maybe in a three-team deal.

Snell+2nd for Hollis Thompson or Snell+Bulls 1st for KJ McDaniels?

I'm guessing they don't do the second deal, but that would be sweet. Come on Philly, it's a pick, you like those!

Maybe the first trade isn't that good, but last season Thompson shot 46% and 40% from 3 so there's potential he can be play good minutes for us. Hard to know, was on a crap team and played one solid season and this season he's not doing so well, but it's hard to know what else Snell+2nd could net us.

No thanks. Brooks is our scoring PG substitute when Rose is injured or on a minutes restriction. I believe McDermott will look like a rotation player when he comes back healthy. Not worth it to upgrade from Dunleavy to Green.

The only players RIGHT NOW Bulls would trade I think are :

Snell, Moore, Bairstow and that we offer some pick(s) as well in any trade..
Jeff Green isnt an option I think at the moment.

Houston just got Corey Brewer for an undrafted guy who has played 8 minutes in the NBA and can barely get D league burn.

How were we not on this with Snell or something?

Snell for Brewer does not work in the trade checker. Wolves can't do a 2 for 1 deal because all their players are fully guaranteed. Bulls would have to give up one of Dunleavy, Butler or McDermott to make it work salary wise.

Houston on the other hand has a TPE.

I would gladly do Green for McDermott/filler.

Fits each team much better.

It actually doesn't. Chicago can't put Green on the floor with Rose and Jimmy and expect there to be any spacing. None of them are very good at shooting threes which means all opposing defenses would pack the paint, not allow dribble penetration and sag down on our post players like Gasol.

I.E., while some Bulls fans think it's a good idea, I'm thinking the FO would think otherwise because, well, its bad idea in a long list of bad ideas.

That's fair.

I guess i was more alluding to the fact that Jeff is much more likely to help CHI win this year as opposed to Doug.

Green is a decent three-point shooter, especially from the corner. He's just not Kyle Korver. And it's also a question of who you're giving up and what role they're playing today. I'd deal Green for filler and the Kings' pick..

I don't mind dealing for Jeff Green at the right price, and the fact that you guys (BleedGreen/andy) have both suggested offers that don't include Taj intrigues me.

McDermott/filler or Kings pick/filler are tempting to say the least, but I'm reluctant for a few reasons. Firstly, I've heard a few different things in regard to our long term cap situation, and I'm not sure that it will work for us to both take on on contract like Green and keep Taj and his contract on the roster into the future. My other concern is on the court - Green is a good player and is capable of putting up big games, but fit wise I'm not too sure, it's hard to say. He ticks a few boxes for me (he defends, very capable scorer), but I don't think we can afford to have 3 'decent' 3 point shooters as our starting 1-3. Rose and Butler aren't knockdown by any means, and I think our offence/spacing will suffer if we don't have an extremely good shooter at the other spot. Green's not a bad shooter, but I think it's really risky in that regard.

This is just me and my unrealistic McLemore crush, but I would still offer Taj for McLemore and Jason Thompson.

I guess it's even less feasible now as Vivek tyrannical reign over the Kings has them wanting to play some high paced/small ball offence by the sounds of it, but I remember that the Kings coveted Taj for a long time, and let's be honest, he would be an awesome compliment to Cousins on both ends, what an unstoppable front court.

In return, we get a very serviceable big in Thompson so we're still deep at the 4-5, and Thompson is primarily a C so it allows Mirotic to get more minutes. As for McLemore, some people might scream 'we don't need a young prospect', but I firmly believe he's shown that he's got it together at this point. Averaging 47% and 41% on 3's for the season, this guy is already a great compliment for Butler on the wing and still has All-Star potential.

I'd throw in the Bulls 1st to make it work as well if they need some added incentive.
