I based my rankings on the right now, but if we were to do this again next year, Andre Drummond will be on that list as a top 3 center.

The fact that Harden is considered the top shooting guard in the league really rubs me the wrong way. Not to say he isn't deserving of that notion, considering how weak that position is overall, but it annoys me that he can be considered the best shooting guard when he is probably one of the, if not the worst defender in the entire league.
Why so serious?

Question to the worldwide Real GM Bulls fans out there, do you believe a team can win the championship without any top 3 players? I ask this because some of you don't have a single Spurs player listed in your top 3. In fact, the only player that was in the NBA finals last season that some of you listed was Lebron. That sounds like to me that a top 3 player is not a requirement to winning a 'Chip.
After Rose broke both his knees, I gave up on the hope that we'd make it to the NBA Finals again. It will probably be decades before we see another championship. Hello Treadmill, here we come.

It's the shoes!

IMO, Parker is not a top 3 point guard, but easily top 5. And probably the best performing PG when it comes to the post season.

This is the year Anthony Davis becomes a top 3 player in the league. He's the best PF for me. I'd sell everyone on our team to get him.

SG is trash atm.

Beal being in top 3 is a bit of a reach and Kobe there is also ridiculus

I'd put Harden, Thompson, Wade there.

Other than that:
PG: Parker, Paul, Westbrook
SF:LeBron,Durant, Melo
PF:Davis, Griffin, Duncan
C:M.Gasol, Noah, Drummond

Dwight
Cousins

4: Lebron
Blake
Davis

3: Durant
Melo
George/Leonard

2: tie between Kobe, Manu, Wade, Beal, Lance, Derozan, Harden

1: Rose
2: Westbrook
3: Paul

Wow. These top lists are huge indicators of the state of the shooting guard. Not so good.

Shame Jefferson got injured in game 1 of the playoffs, he was an absolute nightmare for Miami's front court. Miami still would have won, but he would have made them work a little harder.

Bobcats also had some solid pieces in place and hired a Thibs like coach that got them to play defense.

Wow. Mike Malone is credited with improving the Warriors defense while serving as the lead assistant in Golden State. He then gets hired in Sacramento, they don't improve and it's on him instead of the players??

Meanwhile Clifford gets the credit for Charlotte's success over Jefferson?? Not on my watch.

Charlotte won 21 games in 2012-2013, after adding Jefferson they jumped up to 43-39 (they added no other players on consequence).

Ya Clifford put in a better system in Charlotte but so did Malone in Sacramento. The Kings finished with the exact same record 2 years in a row, even after allegedly upgrading their talent with Rudy Gay.

And Al Jefferson is the reason they went from 30th to 5th defensively?

Sonny, there were several people including you, Neccessary Evil and Dice who responded to my Al Jefferson comment. Out of randomnees i quoted your post instead of theirs.

I suppose my main gripe is the notion that, I believe Necessary_Evil made, that if you put Cousins on the Bobcats he'd have done better.

Saying the Bobcats improved soley off the hiring of a good coach while the Kings also signed a good coach and didn't improve at all also bothers me.

The Bobcats improved on both ends of the court. Clifford contributed to that with schemes but its up to the players on the court to perform, and Al Jefferson shined.

Westbrookicles and Curry couldn't touch 2011 Rose. Not with a long long pole. I would be delighted if Rose could be the #3 PG this upcoming year, though. That would be good.
