I read he's from Santa Monica and moved to Oregon.

Yeah from Cali (it's all the same to me) and lived in Oregon from age 1 till 18, and then at UCLA for 1 year, so he was only in Cali for 2 years max. Not exactly his home as people make it out to be by any stretch of the imagination.

That isn't true. He has a HUGE California connection.

*His father was born and raised in LA.
*His father (for those that don't know)....played in the NBA for a couple of years....including time with the LAKERS.
*Love was dropped from the Nike Portland AAU team (because he went to a Reebok camp and Nike didn't like that...which one could see if you consider where Nike is located), and ended up playing for the historic So-Cal All-Stars AAU team.
*His father, is the younger brother of Mike Love, along with the cousins of Brian Wilson, Carl Wilson, and Dennis Wilson.
Who are those guys?
The Beach Boys
You can't get more of a Califonia connection then that.

"I wish they all could be California...."
Jealousy is a sickness.......get well soon....

He is always honest. And, he explained it too. There is no way you promise anyone that they will not be traded. That said, he also talked about the relationship they established with Mirotic. I have always believed that if anyone would be traded for Love, it has to be Mirotic. Love and Mirotic are sort of similar players. It is not that I think Taj is a better player than Love but Taj complements both Mirotic and Love better than having Mirotic and Love.

The other important thing Pax mentioned was how Mirotic's first year would be...it is more of a developmental year and as a 4th big who complements the other three. He made perfect sense in why all four would be required this year because of their different skills, different phases of their careers and their injury history. In other words, nobody is going to be traded for wings unless it is for Love himself.

Not following you logic here, man. Regarding the issue at hand. If Kevin Love wants to leave and dictate where he goes now, he is going to have to agree to stay with the team trading for him, other wise, he is going to a crappy team. I hope Cleveland is foolish wnough to trade Wiggins and others for him without an ext agreed to. They would be idiots.. I just can't see any professional basketball executives being that foolish.

.. Are you saying that the Bulls should trade anything of value for Kevin Love if he DOES NOT agree to stay here long term? We should just bet that he will want to stay... We should just take it on good faith..

That would be a colossal mistake and very foolish for a FO with a contending team on their hands.

He isn't dictating where he is going. Minny can trade him wherever they want. He just isn't signing an extension with teams. And is going to only sign extenstions with certain teams next summer.

If Love says he wants to be here, like he has, then yes, we should trade for him.

They go hand in hand though... Only a crappy team would gamble and trade anything of value for a one year rental.

What would you be willing to trade for Love with no guarantee he would stay after this year?

I wouldn't trade for him period if he cannot commit to being here.

Where are you coming up with this? The Cavs will be favorites for the title with him, not a crappy team.

I would be dancing around my desk if Wiggins is traded to Minnesota and Love goes to the Lakers in 2015.

Well, this is right along the lines with what I was saying earlier.

lets say it's just the cavs at this point. Lebron won't say he'll stay long term. The team other than bron is just meh. IT'S CLEVELAND

If you were Love, would you agree to a long term deal? Maybe he is aware of the suitors and would rather just become a FA or stay in Minny?

Doesn't seem that far fetched to me

In the future read the article before you comment.

This was the update:

Bob Finnan of the News-Herald provides an update on Kevin Love:

In a rather new development, it now looks as if Love won’t sign an extension with any team in which he’s traded, even the Cavaliers. He can get far more money if he becomes a free agent in the summer of 2015, and re-signs with the team in which he is traded. That puts considerably more risk in a trade, especially if the Cavaliers are giving up a prospect like Wiggins.

Report: Bulls 'moving on' from Kevin Love

A little over a week ago, the Bulls reportedly re-pumped the tires on attempting to acquire Kevin Love from the Minnesota Timberwolves. It's unclear what the Bulls were offering — if they were indeed involved — but those rumors have been put to rest on Wednesday, as a report from ESPN's Brian Windhorst and Marc Stein indicates the Bulls are "pessimistic about their chances of trumping Cleveland's offer" and are "essentially moving on" from those trade talks.

While Bulls general manager Gar Forman didn't rule out the possibility of another move on Wednesday, he admitted "we really like the group we have and we look forward to getting going in October with that group."

There is a part of me that really wants to gloat about being right, with Wiggins always being the clear and obvious piece for the Wolves, and to highlight this to WinCity in particular, but I won’t be an ass.

Well, I sort of will, by making in this post in reference to that inflated opinion, but it pales in comparison to what I could do.

Sorry Win. We still good, i hope. :)

Now, resume normal programming and post youtube clips referencing Love being 'gone'.

I am already in my 'Adam Sandler - Love Stinks' phase.

**** Cleveland!
