Ok, here is the link...It says hes verbally committed to play with the Heat but still a bit intrigued by Bulls and Clippers offers.
So we are not 100% out of it but it is very likely he will end up in Miami.

Rerisen wrote:He's not that good of a player anymore, but considering the Bulls have very little attacking depth behind Derrick, and did virtually nothing beside the equally questionable Arron Brooks to provide for the contingency of Rose missing games this year, it would be a good redundancy move to pick him up. And if he never has to be used, you'd consider yourself fortunate.
I'd rather use Barbosa than our other two PGs. Barbosa is bigger (6 ft 3) and better defensively than the lot of them. Especially Goggles, who has lost any remaining shreds of his formerly not so great athleticism. Plus Barbs is a perfect fit for Thibs' offense. Offensively it's about a wash, with Brooks having slightly better court vision, Goggles having slightly better 3 point shooting and Barbosa taking slightly better shots overall. However Barbs complements our needs when Rose is off the floor better than the other two offensively as well.

Stratmaster wrote:Wait. The comment was they brought in Niko and Doug for a specific skill. You said they brought in Snell for the same skill. Then I said Snell wasn't a scorer/shooter. Then you said he was a 3 and D guy. The logical conclusion to me then is that the specific skillset you were referring to is 3 and D. And Niko and Doug are not 3 and D guys. At least that's what Shirley says.
Thank you for the friendly banter either way!
The specific skill = shooting.
btw rtblues, i never called u shirley

I think he'd be in the same position depth-wise for the Heat as he would be for the Bulls. They have Chalmers, Cole, and Napier at PG, while Wade, James Ennis, and Reggie Williams are at SG.

lol, the heat drafted napier cuz of lebron and he ditched them. Which eqautes to basically their 3rd pg and maybe 4th pg since leandro could take his minutes. Kudos for the move but it was similar to how he misled the cavs but people act like lbj did everything right except the decision.

Ok because that's the only reason I could see why he'd go to Miami.

I disagree. Napier is a rookie that very likely won't be any good this year. Ennis is a SF.
Barbosa would only compete with Cole for back up PG minutes and likely be 3rd string sg.
With the Bulls he would be fighting with Brooks for 3rd string pg and Snell or Kirk for 3rd string SG. He would get many more dnp-cd with the Bulls.

This is the internal debate I have right now:
If Rose is healthy, then a Barbosa skill set player should have been prioritized over Kirk.
VS.
If Rose is on a minutes / games per week limitation, then Kirk is a great pickup.
Without all available information, I have to assume that we will be extremely careful with how we bring in Rose. I don't think he cracks Top 20 in minutes this season.

Dont worry guys there is still hope that the Bulls can sign and trade Tadija Dragicevic to Denver for Nate Robinson.

I though Kirk was signed for 2 years?

Just a joke since there have been John Lucas, E'twaun Moore, Leandron Barbosa rumors.

My bad. You are right....2 years, with trade kicker. And 1 year, player option.

Barbosa and Moore are fall back guys for the Bulls. They are looking for a starting wing via Dunleavy and other pieces.

This makes me happy. I'm thinking Dunleavy, and Snell and or Butler are on the table depending on what we get back?

Still active? Or mid-season?
