What would Noah bring?

Post#1 » by basghetti80 » Wed Sep 17, 2014 7:40 pm

This is operating under the premise you go with Gasol and Gibson starting with Mirotic as 3rd big and using Noàh plus Snell and/or Dunleavy to get high level SG/SF...who could you get?

I think you could likely get most of these guys, (ignoring financial trade restrictions):

Nicolas Batum
Andre Igoudala
Chandler Parsons
Rudy Gay
Giannis Antetokounmpo
Avery Bradley + Jeff Green
Terrance Ross
Dion Waiters
Eric Gordon
Tyreke Evans
Victor Oladipo?
Aaron Afflalo
Monta Ellis
Wesley Matthews
Joe Johnson
Lance Stephenson
Josh Smith (PF/SF)

Of this list, I would probably only really think about Batum.

Cliff Levingston would hope you could get a lot. But ICLO, you could only count on Gasol for one, maybe two years of pretty high level play before he starts to really fall off, KG style. Trading either Gibson or Noah for a wing would be a bad idea, ICLO. Never trade big for small unless you're turning a decent big man into an all-star wing.

The Bulls are not trading Noah or even Taj unless they are getting a shot-creator type star wing player. They are not trading any of these guys for shooter types/draft picks/point guard types(Bledsoe, Dragic types).

Gasol is just like a guy who fills in the holes which Noah/Taj have but wasn't signed to replace/trade those guys and it doesn't have to repeated that he is "34" with a lot of mileage/injuries.

If Asik had been resigned, then there was a big possibility that Noah could have been traded for the right wing player like Klay + somebody else. Noah just made the all-NBA team and unless he wants out, the Bulls are not trading him.

The only thing I can see is Melo recruiting him to come to NY if Derrick gets injured again.

I'd take Oladipo.

THE FLASH

If Pat Riley and or Wade decided that he needs a change of scenery. A straight up deal could work.

He’s by far the most valuable asset on the team (including Rose) so the list of players you couldn’t get for Noah would be easier to make.

He finished 4th in MVP voting…by some stretch that can be interpreted as the 4th most valuable player in the league.

He alone would bring no one i care about, no one i would want or no one who could replicate his worth to the team, which includes off the floor worth.

Would of loved that Aldridge for Noah deal @ this point....

With Pau & LaMarcus up front, we'd slaughter the league.

Cousins used to be the player I wanted to trade Noah for but I don't think that's a chance anymore. I gotta think we could get Dragic or Bledsoe for him. Those might be worth considering. Maybe not. I'm trying to think of other teams heavy on perimeter talent.

We will not get our worth by trading Noah. Sadly he is better than anything we will get in return for him.

not enough to replace what he brings

Noah is the heart and soul of the team

we'd have to get a legitimate star player which i dont think will happen

our best deal was LMA but we overplayed our hand and Blazers ended up turning out to be pretty good and LMA decided to shut up about wanting out

so unless Pelicans go full ret*rd and offer Anthony Davis Noah is most likely staying put
