True. It's a little less meaningful coming from Cameron Bairstow.

I don't want to hear it from anybody right now but Jimmy and Pau. Nobody else has been consistently good enough to earn the right. Not that I put any stock in such statements, but if a guy is playing hard and playing well, and he is feeling it, well OK then.

Why cant Jimmy say it? I don't scuff at anything people say. Derrick said why cant he be MVP and 95% of people giggled at it.

Jimmy was quoted as saying offhandedly that the team would overcome injuries to key players and win it all. Personally, I see no "news" here other than maybe that Butler's unsuccessful extension negotiations with the Buls apparently hasn't dampned Jimmy's enthusiasm about his team's prospects this season.

So he shouldn't be confident in his team? Or is it that he made a public statement?

putting a target on your team's back is never helpful

Bulls already have a target on their backs. Anything less than a championship is a failure this season.

I don't think so. Nobody on the General Board takes the Bulls seriously for the playoffs. Pretty much 100% the sentiment is Thibs is a regular-season coach, the team will be injured, the Bulls will lose in the playoffs, and Bulls fans never learn.

Maybe if Rose were to play for an extended length of time but truth is, we are kind of a league joke. A team that looks good on paper but never shows up in April.

Hahaaha you care what people on the GB is what I find amusing. Think about this. 99% of posters teams on the GB are bigger jokes then the Bulls. The only fans who can talk are Spurs fans, and to be honest I don't see many of them there.

Well, the bulls don't play the general board every night. They play the NBA teams who take playing the bulls as a "test", or making a "statement game" in the preseason.

Obviously, health is a concern, but this year, there are many who have the bulls as the favorites (in the east at least), and the best team.....moreso than what we saw in 2010-11 season. This team impresses, and I don't even think Thibs coaching style can stop them from reaching the finals.....health is pretty much the main issue

I think teams get up when they play the Bulls since we have a rep of playing balls to the wall like it's our last game every night. So if that can be considered a "target," then I guess it is.

Personally, I'm not a big fan of the talk. Just keep doing what you're doing. But hey, Jimmy can do no wrong in my eyes. Just hope he stays healthy.

Thibs coaching style is what is going to get them to the finals. I know you finished that with "health is the issue".. and it is, but Thibs really isn't to blame for that, despite the sentiment of many Bulls fans.

I must be, or you're a terrible writer.

Nobody was discussing or cared about what the GB thinks. It was a thread about Jimmy Butler saying the Bulls are going to win it all.

Then you came.

And brought up the GB. Sooooo you obviously have feelings about what the GB thinks........... :(

I hope he is clairvoyant like our very own Derrick Rose.
