Taj didn't look great in Sacramento and to me this was something that's inevitable with an ankle: if it's not ready to play then it will get hurt more so than any other body part except maybe your back. I get both sides of sitting and I get wanting to play on it so it sucks that Taj tried to help the team and he ended up getting hurt. As a fan of Mirotic long term, I'm excited to see what he can do with more offensive talent around him and guys who are very good off the ball.

Yeah. Let's not keep playing guys on injured ankles.

Well as I said. Taj seems to have had a serious issue for some time that he did not treat properly for some reason, nor did the Bulls.. It does not seem relatable to the Rose ankle if people are trying to make the connection

Were they going to do an MRI? Or is he really just listed day to day?

They said x-rays were negative last night. I guess they don't need to do an MRI.

Big guys with bad feet...bad.

Cool your jets for a couple weeks, Taj. The team will be OK.

Not for nothing, but Taj was used as a direct comparison to why Rose "should" be playing. This isn't a told you so, but I have always been weary of any Bull staying healthy. Its been proven, this team cannot and will not stay healthy.

Silver lining is that Taj avoided a major injury. Another silver lining is that he might be smarter about the ankle now.

I'm hopeful that Pau and Rose will be back soon, hopefully our next game.

If so, then we should have no problem shutting down Taj for a while. We have more than enough (it's true this time) to stay afloat and excel while he is out of the rotation recuperating (Kirk too).

Niko's time to shine baby.

He should sit until the ankle is 100%. As long as Derrick and Pau come back the team will be fine. Niko is gonna have some great games and probably struggle a lot too. He's going to be asked to play big minutes. Like 25-30 per game, really 30 ish if we don't want to play Nazr and Pau doesn't play over 36 MPG and Jo's minutes stay reasonable or restricted by the med staff.

If Derrick and Pau don't come back, we are in some trouble until then. If Kirk, Jo and Pau are all still out, we'll take any win we can get during that period cause there won't be many against good teams.

As far as I'm concerned any player on our team should sit any lower extremity injury until 100%. If need be, play Nazr and Bairstow 15 mpg each. Also could play any of Butler, MDJ and McD at PF for a few minutes. This is why there are 13 guys on a basketball team. We should have kept Solomon jones though.

all you got to do is look at the last 5 years

at this point the team will have to prove they can stay healthy because according to the last 5 seasons they can not and thats more than enough to say this team can never stay healthy

so far this season it sure doesn't look like things have changed over the past

injuries so far:

Rose x2
Taj x2
Jimmy x2 (playing hurt, sprained thumb/shoulder which he tweaked against Sac)
Noah
Kirk
Brooks
Gasol

and this is all within the FIRST MONTH this definitely seems like a recurring theme for the Bulls

as i said the team will have to prove they can stay healthy at this point

Taj had 4 months in the summer to heal it and it did not heal. So unless you are proposing to sit him out this entire season, he will be playing on an injured ankle.

If Pau gets back next week we'll be alright and Taj can take his sweet time while Niko plays. Just gotta ride this thing out, be thankful for no serious injuries.

How about the past 5 weeks? I mean, there is this guy Derrick Rose, who hasn't played much recently.
