GT - NBA All Star Game 2015 - TNT Feb. 15th @ 8:30pm EST

Post#1 » by Mk0 » Fri Jan 23, 2015 5:44 am

The Barclay's Center, Feb 15th @ 8:30pm EST on TNT
New York plays host to the 2015 All Star Game. On Sunday night at 7:30 CST the league’s most popular players meet in the NBA's premiere state-of-the-art arena, The Barclay's Center.

Tale Of The Tape
For the last decade and a half the West has been the dominant conference in the regular season, and has won 3 of the last 5 All Star Games. With breakout seasons from young stars like John Wall and Kyle Lowry, will the East have enough to beat the West? Or will the West’s own explosive youth be the difference? With players like Anthony Davis and Steph Curry having MVP caliber seasons it is hard to think they wouldn't be chomping at the bit to put their own mark on the mid-season classic?

Westbrook and KD should not make the all-star game, it should only be one of them that goes
NBA Playoffs.... I can never wait!

This might be good, but probably not.

I hope we at least get some 1v1 shoot outs in this game similar to Waiters and Hardaway in the Rising Stars game last year.

I care much more about the game tonight. Hate and despise AS weekend.

Great job on the thread though.

I wish they'd play the NBA Allstar game opposite the Super Bowl so that it would get the attention it deserves.

We could probably fit the entire All Star Weekend in during the game stoppages in the Super Bowl.

I hate all star games, hope our guys can use the rest and have a better second half of the season, I remember Kurt played a lot better after the AS brake, I'm hoping this year Noah will follow that trend

Updated. Thanks for that. I misread the article and got the venues/events swapped.

Thanks I put a lot of time and effort into it. I am not the biggest ASG fan, but our GTs have been a mess lately and I was able to do this in my spare time, where a normal GT requires a fast turnaround.

I had been cooking this thread up for a while now and was waiting for the ASG starters to be announced. I was making GTs for the regular season games up until the holidays and work started eating up all my time. I was hoping people would step up their GT game, but with the team so lackadaisical the forum's sense of pride in GTs have floundered as well.

Honestly the pessimism on this forum has put me off from making normal GTs. It simply isn't worth the time and effort when the threads turn to crap 3 pages in. With any luck the forum gets better now that we have beaten the Spurs/Mavs after the team meeting.

So Kobe, Steph, and Lebron get extended care on their intro yet no love for the hometown kid AD? Mk0 I'm disappointed.

BeatDaHeat I didn't mean to rage out at you. I am pissed that people have been tossing out GTs the hour of the game. My point was that I would fix the issue but I avoided this place during our losing streak because the tone and posts had gotten Knicks-Board-esque.

As much as I love this place it can become unbearable to read when we are playing poorly. The negativity just snowballs.

On a personal note I probably won't get a chance to do a GT for a while since work has picked up (I am a freelance artist) and I am booked up for the next few months. But I sure as hell will update this sucker if anyone can think of anything I am missing in the OP.

AD doesn't have any accolades.. I put in "league leader in blocks" because I had nothing else to add. I did update his section though.
