That guy is Tobias Harris. He has the size, tenacity, and grit to defend Lebron...and also score on offense in multiple ways. Tobias is our draymond green-we just need to find a way to get him.

I'm willing to make Taj, Noah(obviously), and (surprise) Rose all available to get this guy. I'd love to bring Oladipo back with him and take on whatever contracts they want to shred.

Is there a way to make this trade? Third team to help?

Didn't Harris just sign a huge deal with Orlando? Don't think he's going anywhere anytime soon.

@WojYahooNBA: Sources: As part of deal for Ty Lawson, Houston will send Kostas, Pablo Prigioni, Joey Dorsey, Nick Johnson and a protected first to Denver. 9:23 PM

They were expected to be able to step in and be really solid NBA players right away, but were unable to really do so? That's about the only similarity I can think of.

Trey Burke has been pretty bad in his 2 yrs in the NBA. Another guy who can't shoot (37.4 FG%, 32.4 3P%). Not to mention, he's another tiny guard (listed at 6'1"). He isn't worth a 1st round pick

Which raises the question. Why do all all these proposed trades to get rid of Hinrich seem to involve tiny guards who can't shoot?

That's a lot of players. How many of them do you think Denver actually plans on keeping around?

Also, I bet Patrick Beverley isn't too happy about this news

Yup he did. Neither he nor Oladipo are likely going anywhere anytime soon. If the Magic are smart, they will build around those 2 guys, Vucevic and Payton. That's a really nice young core (especially if Skiles can improve the defense)

Most of those guys are non-guaranteed deals. This was a salary dump trade and obviously they also get a future draft pick.

Probably just Nick Bunnies.

I think he'll be ok. He got his money and him playing against bench guards probably makes him look better and helps the team. The only people I can see not happy about it are the backup PGs that have to go against him.

Most feel this team's primary weakness is a wing who is both a shooter/scorer and a defender. What is the consensus for the player we should target in a trade midseason? Tobias Harris? Melo (not for the defense) should he regain his full abilities? DeMare Caroll if Toronto tanks? Rudy Gay if the price is right?

I would say that backup pg is a bigger need right now.

Hopefully the FO doesn't go with Aaron Brooks as the primary backup for the entire year.

Hopefully Curry does well in Sacremento and that makes Collison expendable. He would be a perfect backup for Rose, can easily start a few games if need be. Having AB as our backup is not acceptable.
KC: Do you still think you're a championship-caliber team?
Gar: I never said that and correct me if I'm wrong.
KC: You were asked that question at the news conference announcing Thibodeau's dismissal and you answered yes

Even though the Rockets have acquired talented pieces the past few years (Dwight Howard, Harden, Lawson, etc) I still don't think they have a group of bonofide winners. Because they are so talented, they'll win a lot of games every year -- but I don't think they possess championship pedigree.

To me, Dwight Howard's a loser. Harden is one of the league's elite scorers but he's not a 2-way player. And Lawson is talented but he's got way too many personal problems right now.

I do like the Dekker pick and think he'll be a solid fit - but I'm just not sold on the Rockets being championship material.

Why would Minny do that at all, let alone do it if Snell is off to a bad start?

They don't have use for Snell with both Lavine and Shabazz in the rotation. Maybe they could use Taj to play in between Wiggins and Towns though. But he's not really a long term fit for them - as they are building for 2-3 years from now. It's unlikely Minny does this deal because Dieng is a nice rotation big off the bench on a cheap deal.
