I am not sure this is true. I read some articles before how Hoiberg watch NBA basketball more than he follows college basketball.

"I probably watch a lot more NBA basketball than I do college," he said. "I think those are the brightest minds in the game, and those actions that those guys run and the spacing that’s incorporated in the NBA game, it's something we try to put into our structure.

Hoiberg also know triangle offense for those who say Pip would be great candidate cause learned triangle offense from Phil.

Either way do not understimate Hoiberg.

wait ppl want to run the triangle? has it even been effective without Phil to go along with 2 top players? with one being arguably the best player in the league?

the triangle is outdated anyway

If the triangle was an offense able to be implemented with success, it would be...

As Bulls fans we were spoiled.

I've always been a fan of a roster filled with above average defensive players with an offensive minded coach. I.E. A healthy Noah, Taj, and Butler are not going to all of a sudden stop playing defense.

Nah. I mean using parts of triangle offense for modern NBA offense. Kerr use it also with Bogut. And we did use it this season also with Gasol. What i am saying Hoiberg is better candidate than Pip in any regard.

New orleans trying to steal one of our candidates if Hoiberg doesnt work. And I thought they wanted Thibs...

This could just be playing games from both sides. Bulls don't wanna make it sound like they aren't willing to retain Thibs and New Orleans probably don't want the Bulls thinking they'll give a king's ransom for Thibs' services either.

All jockeying for position at this point. Plenty of time in the race still.

This is interesting. Maybe this means that:

1. Bulls may keep Thibs
2. Bulls are asking a lot for Thibs
3. Thibs is on his way to Orlando
4. Pelicans are doing this to force the Bulls hand.

The New Orleans Pelicans have ‎been granted permission to interview Golden State Warriors assistant coach Alvin Gentry for their coaching vacancy, according to league sources.

Sources told ESPN.com that Gentry has emerged as one of the leading candidates for the position alongside Chicago Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau, who is widely expected to part company with the Bulls this offseason.

ESPN.com reported last week after the Bulls' second-round elimination against Cleveland that there is mutual interest between Thibodeau and the Pelicans in discussing the job vacated by Monty Williams' dismissal earlier this month.

Thibodeau, though, is under contract with the Bulls for the next two years at nearly $9 million.

Although it widely believed throughout the league that both sides are eager to part company after five successful but rocky years together, the Bulls and Thibodeau are still operating as though he's Chicago's coach.

NO saw what Orl was willing to pay Thibs and moves on, lol.

Hoiberg stays at Iowa, NOP hires Gentry, Magic lean towards a Scott (Brooks or Skiles). Do Bulls keep Thibs and dysfunction another year?

Can't value him that much if they won't offer a 2nd rounder..that's all ORL is thinking of giving.

Jason Kidd was traded for 2 2nd round picks...even after the Brooklyn scandal.
