It would be strange if we did not. He surely should shoot his 3s better. I imagine also that his comfort will improve so that he won't have the problems as he did in the playoffs, where he seemed rattled in his admittedly limited minutes.

I think it is a bit early for that. Fortunately he has 2 more years on his contract. He would have to have a Jimmy Butler type season this year before I would offer an early extension at a max level.

He's equal or better player than JV, right now. He also has more untapped potential. So, yes.

1 guy asked how much weight Niko added.
Hope the interviewer asks that.

I want to know if he is planning on changing his approach to pump-faking.

JV has a lot of untapped potential in the form of that big body. That is why he is getting paid so much. As you note, it's not on what he has produced to date.

We've been hood-winked, bamboozled and flat out deceived by Hoopshype and Nikola Mirotic. No pump-fake question in entire interview

Niko is more interview savvy in his 2nd language than certain other players are in their first language. He answered without dodging questions but also didn't step all over himself when asked about Thibs, Rose/Butler, and salaries.

Next year I guess I’m going to have more of a featured role with the team and that’s just another motivation to work extra hard so when the team needs me I’m ready to deliver.

Sounds like he's been told he's having a bigger role.

If the Bulls do, you would be complaining to much to ever hear it.

NBA fan logic we need to trade one of two best players because (Player X) one needs to shine more.

This means Niko's sucky postseason performance was just caused by fatigue & injury.
He'll be good next season with better conditioning. 8-) 8-) 8-)

You talked with new coach Fred Hoiberg a couple of weeks ago when he visited the Spanish National Team. How was that conversation?

NM: It was a very nice conversation. He’s a great guy that wants to be close to the players. It’s still very early to say how things will go, but we have big goals. We know he’s a very offensive-minded coach, which perhaps is what the team needed – to play with more freedom. We have very talented offensive players that can score in the open court.

Bulls are going to be the team to watch next season. Next article. Thanks

Its going to be interesting to see how Hoiberg deals with the front court.

Lets face it, Thibs got to play Niko a bit more than maybe he would have basically because Noah was hurt and missed alot of games and Taj was hurt and missed alot of games.

If everyone was healthy - yes a word used often but never ever seems to happen, Niko probably would have played McDermott type minutes.

I don't think everyone will truly be satisfied with their minutes if that is the case. Even if you cut Pau's minutes down to 30, you still couldnt effectively have Taj and Niko both playing 20+ mins off the bench.
