But anything, slow unathletic or below the rim mentioned by realgm users gives me that. I am still having nightmares from watching Bulls last season. Our second best dunker in season was Doug Mcdermott. Chills man.
Yeah, I don't know if this is sarcasm or what, but if you have a defensive plan for a roster that already has McDermott and Mirotic primed to get big minutes, please, by all means, let me know how you plan on incorporating Denzel Valentine.
It wasnt sarcastic post. 100% true. If Doug is your second best offensive athlete on a team this team has serious problems with athleticism and playing above the rim. We know when we drafted him what he is, but I never ever expected him to be top 5, let alone top 2 in something which wasnt ever his game. This team needs athletes. Not just good athletes but great ones (above average height for position, wingspan, lenght, motor with dunking and leaping ability). And I get shivers when I hear Denzel or Sabonis.
If you think Doug is the second best dunker on last year's team, Taj Gibson, Jimmy Butler, Pau Gasol, Cristiano Felicio, Justin Holiday, Bobby Portis and Joakim Noah would all disagree.
I do not understand fans who think developing someone into a good player who has no to limited basketball skills is easier than someone who already is skilled in his own body. Is it prettier to watch the guy who sucks do something unexpected than a fundamentally sound guy do something you expect out of him?
Tony Snell is an athlete. He has absolutely no handles or court awareness, but pick him because he looks the part.
