Selling high? Are you kidding me?

That Pelicans pick might slide down to 16+. They're 2 games out of the 8th spot, and the Kings are one of the teams ahead of them.

I think the Kings just decided to 'give up' on life. IMO they realized they didn't want to super max Cousins.

NOP got him cheap. HOWEVER, I don't think it'll make them that much better. Davis and Cousins are a funny fit. They should look at the Grizzlies as some kind of blueprint, though.

Meanwhile, that Kings pick is gone. Wha wha.

This has to be one of the worst deals for a top 10 player in his prime ever. They should just buyout the kings. They're hopeless. Wow I really can't believe they got him for a guy whos not that good and a 16-20 pick. Just wow.

I really hope we made an effort. Because that's really not much at all.

Boogie and AD might really cause some troubles for the warriors down the line. AD can guard KD but not vise versa and Draymond is not stopping Boogie in the post.

That's messed up.

Kings are a joke.

Pels still have a lot of work to do, I think this gets them over .500 but not that far.

Yes, the Kings are the worst run organization I've ever seen. With that said, I cannot believe a competent GM like Ainge didnt get Cousins. That was a huge error on his part.

The absolute hardest thing to do in this league is to get a tall superstar. And they have 2. The rest of it is much, much easier.

Rumor was that Ainge didn't want to add his bad attitude to mess with the locker room and overall team chemistry.

Can see them targeting a few shooters in the offseason. re-signing Holiday is a must for them now.

If I was Vivek (I guess that's a bad premise), even as stupid as I would be, I would go around to other teams and say 'we're willing to pull the trigger on this deal with the Pels, beat it and it's yours.

Ainge could've easily pulled this off without either of the Brooklyn picks. Could add PG or Butler on top of that. That's a contender.

It has been said that the Kings had 'objectively better' deals on the table, but they love Hield so they went with it. Be interesting how much the other offers were and how much you could then critique the Kings talent evaluation yet again as a result.

Life as a Kings fan must be really hard. You finally got rid of the terrible owners who wanted to sell the team to Seattle, got new hope because they found an owner who kept the team in the city, got a new arena and now it turns out this owner is even worse and the franchise has become a bigger joke than it's ever been.

Honestly feeling sorry for them.

Crazy crazy trade... Could make for a very interesting team with the Pels down the line though.. give them a couple of shooters and they could be really really scary.

Does the Sacramento trade do anything to pressure Chicago's FO to make a decision on Butler since they likely won't be getting the Kings' pick this year? To me, it seemed like they could work with Butler until the offseason and still depend on getting a young stud in the draft through the Kings' pick. Now it seems like they won't have that luxury, and it makes it a bit harder to surround Butler with good young players for the future.

I don't think it has much of an effect on any decision making. Even if we were keeping Butler, the Kings pick was one of the few avenues that we could've improved the team.
