If the Bulls are keeping Butler and planning to 'build around him' why are they not using their expiring contracts/draft picks to pick up guys on longer deals that could help out Jimmy?

Instead we are reading how they want to dump Niko, Taj, and Doug for draft picks. That is something a team does if they are rebuilding.

GarPax clearly have no plan and are just winging it of sorts. Maybe hoping Boston comes to them with a grand offer?

If the rumors are true that Paxson is the only rebuild guy and is surrounded and overruled by non-tanking people, the prudent thing to do is step away from his job. Maybe become 'advisor' and collect a paycheck. What's the point of his fancy title if he has no sway to get done what he wants to do?

At this point it seems Jimmy stays ... The best thing to do is trade for pieces that can excel around him as we probably wont be able to do much in free agency .
