What does Memphis have to trade? Their 2019 pick goes to Boston. The rule is they can't trade a pick in back to back years...correct?

I see that they drafted Ivan Rabb.

I like the idea...take on a bad contract and gain assets in the process.

Parsons is one contract I do not want. Memphis would really have to pay up assets for that to happen.

Rondo to Boston for whatever, rights to Zizic and 2019 Memphis pick. Boston cuts Rondo, saves 12 mil and creates space to go after Gordon Heyward

they say Lakers would give an unprotected draft pick if a team took Deng, hes still owed a ton but I think Id do it. He could be the veteran mentor once Wade and Rondo are out

maybe garpax can try to take advantage of billups/lebron whenever he gets around to signing on as gm

wade for frye + shumpert + jefferson works. and frye/jeff are likely to retire soon so it's not a huge burden on us. maybe extract a future protected first outta that

I said sure then looked at Lu's contract, damn. 4 years of a bad contract is a tough pill to swallow, because you would hope in 3 years time you are ready to get back in the playoff mix. Lu does come off the books the same year as AD so there is that.

whatever trades garpax do in the future they need to stop the trend of giving up more assets then they need to to get it done.

Wade for Deng, Kumaz (SF they just drafted) and 2021 1st, no protection

Bulls gamble Lakers suck in 2021. I know nothing about Kumaz. Deng is the vet leader and eats minutes at SF

Lakers clear a ton of cap space for PG13 and LBJ, and they hope Wade signs cheap to help lure them

I like the BOS trade the best. They have lots of 1sts.

I like zoarsons too because he will hurt and not play making our tank even better. Just don't see MEM having any assets.

Trade for the Memphis pick from the Celtics first.

Then trade for Parsons in exchange for making the Memphis pick unprotected.

If Boston did that trade I bet it'd be for Zizic or the Memphis pick, not both.

Atlanta's a great trade partner for Lopez if they're not blowing it up. Weakest center spot in the league.

POR is a great candidate. They are about 15 M over the lux tax line and are looking at needing to re-sign Nurkic next summer. We could send them Rondo and role players before June 30, or just role players after July 1. They likely will solicit bids. We might have a shot because they could use a backup PG and a 3 n D wing, we have cheap ones in Grant and Zip who are officially meaningless to the rebuild.

I Like the angle of getting Deng back from LA for an asset. I wonder if Wade for Deng/Zubac (who IIRC was decent down the stretch) works.

There are all of these buy-out ideas on Wade, but I think he's a good trade chip to take back bad contracts.

I was listening to Thibs yesterday, and he credited Deng for helping to develop JB's regime.

Another trade to consider if Mozgov for RoLo (or TPE) for a lotto protected 2020 1st.
