COL/ARI Series 9.18-9.20

Post#1 » by pickaxe » Thu Sep 17, 2009 12:59 pm

The offense is up in the air. There's a lot of places the hits could come from but it's been like a roulette wheel lately.

We need to see Carlos get going again, he's cooled down a bit. Fowler's going to play a big part. EY has been playing very well in his spot starts. Beyond that it's tough to tell where exactly the next hot bat is going to come from. (other than Torrealba, who is has just been crazy consistent over last 20 or so games)

It's time for Marquis to rebound strong in the first game. He was our ace pitcher at some point, which I believe goes to De LaRosa at the moment, but there's no reason why Marquis can't salvage the rest of his starts and be an ace again.

Obviously a big series (they all are at this point). The offense has been a letdown on the road.

Great effort by Ubaldo Jimenez yesterday. Nice to see the bats coming back a little bit.
