Congratulations to Fiers on his no-hitter! Sucks that I missed the game but that's some pretty cool news to wake up to today.

Going up against Greinke and Kershaw next two games, should be fun.

Ballsy move by Gomez trying to steal home off Kershaw there, damn near made it too.

Lowrie leaving the game, looks like he tweaked his right thumb again. Damn! Hope it's not serious.

Here's hoping that Keuchel gets win #15 tonight!

The bats are due to break out at some point, aren't they? Pitching has been excellent but it sure would be nice to see them score some runs. Tired of losing on the road, too.

Springer hopefully close to getting back out there:

Astros outfielder George Springer took a big step toward returning to action when he took batting practice Monday afternoon at Yankee Stadium for the first time since fracturing his right wrist July 1.

...

"It was good to see him on the field," manager A.J. Hinch said. "I joked with him that he looked like a real player again. It was nice to see him swing the bat. He swung the bat well. He started getting agitated about his swing, which is a good sign. He's getting closer and closer to wanting to dial it up a little bit. It was good to see him swing the bat."

...

Hinch said Springer will hit on the field again Tuesday and will be evaluated after that. Hinch said if things keep trending in the right direction, "we can get him out playing shortly thereafter."

Springer presumably would need a few games in Minor League rehab before rejoining the Astros for the stretch drive of the playoffs.

21 runs scored in two games and a series win on the road against the Yankees?

That is acceptable.

Pretty incredible comeback win today, and desperately needed with the Rangers only 1.5 back and winning their game against Oakland.

This next 4 game series in Arlington is going to be huge!

The division lead is down to just .5 a game. Anyone else ready to panic yet?

Is there anybody out there?

Bueller?

Season ain't over yet, they still have a shot at the division or, perhaps more likely, a wild card spot. Really though it's just been fun seeing them play meaningful games at this point in the season for the first time in like a decade.

Okay, last night wasn't fun at all, but you know what I mean.

Okay guys, go ahead and start that 11 game winning streak now. Enough toying with us, it's not funny anymore. Thanks!

Well, six games left in the season, all of them on the road where this team has struggled the most.

As of now they sit 2.5 games behind Texas in the division, and have only a .5 game lead on the Angels for the second WC spot(only 1.5 up on Minnesota).

Let's do this.

I've been so busy the past few weeks that I haven't been able to watch many games.

Sounds like a blessing in disguise.

Still, this has been a tremendous season no matter how it turns out.

I haven't been able to watch many of these recent games either, especially the late west coast ones. I was disappointed to see they lost last night and dropped .5 game out of the WC(can someone please beat the Angels?!).

It's been a frustrating stretch lately to end the season, but as you said it's been a really fun season to this point and though they're young and have their flaws, there is still a lot of reason for excitement moving forward. They certainly have exceeded my expectations coming into this season. All of these pressure games they've been playing are great experience for the future as well.

Maybe I'm crazy(I am), but I still have hope they will take that WC spot!
