i so wish we had some flexibilities to move hanley out to OF. of course not going to happen with our crowded OF and lack of better options at SS but Gary Sheffield started his career as a SS for the brewers and eventually moved out to RF.
ehhhhh f it.

Pretty amazing run we're on... It feels good to have a team this solid, this late in the season... It's been a while.

I want to start a thread about the historic nature of the run, but I don't want to jinx it.

i hope capuano can continue our home dominance tonight. with a win we will reach 70-50 record with just 42 more games to go. even if we go .500 we will still reach 92 win season, and if we go 29-13, we would reach a 100 win season. this would be epic.
ehhhhh f it.

thank God for Capuano being garbage. :nonono:
maybe we should roll with Fife to finish the year and into the playoffs.

We've been able to cover up our mistakes with good pitching and some timely hitting.

the playoffs are a different animal.
Puig's going to have to hit cut off men and be smarter on the base pads. He's not an idiot....so I wonder what makes him ignore these concepts and common sense.

he is young, and inexperienced in fundamental based American baseball. it will take time for him to be sound in basic understanding in part because he is so talented and succeeded so early, but i can live with it as long as he brings his energy every night, igniting passion in our vets hearts as if this was a sandlot and they were 11 years old.

besides, plate discipline is something that is thought to be uncoachable to many, yet puig has picked it up in matter of 2 months at the bigs, i think he can pick up the basics once his respect for the game becomes bigger than his ego.

My buddy hit me the other day and said, "do you still want Mattingly fired?"

he was making a joke because of how hot we were and like most people i know IRL, they love to try and prove me wrong about ANYTHING.

i said, no...we're doing fine right now. But the real answer to your question is, "no, he's still not a good manager"

:banghead: :nonono: :noway:
we have less than 50 games left in the year and he's still trying with this brandon league experiment....when he shouldn't even be on the team when rosters expand.
