With what assets?

i'd imagine Shump or Harris could be made available for him.

Shump is always hurt...dunno if Charlotte wants more injury prone guys after injuries to Lance and Jefferson this season. Harris is trash, should be in Canton. He won't fetch anything in a trade.

Wasn't Harris doing really well earlier??

He is shooting well from 3, but on relatively small sample size. Can't create for himself or others, is completely reliant on catch-and-shoot opportunities. Can't finish, can't run on fast breaks. He can't defend either. He has a pretty large lack of athleticism and is a pretty significant liability unless he's catching and shooting a 3. Honestly, he's probably not a NBA player--he's probably a D-league guy, but this team has such a lack of depth that he gets spot minutes. I can't see how he has positive value in a trade where he brings back anybody. If anything, he's filler. Not sure about his contract.

Cavs can't trade Shump. They have the worst wing defenders in the league.

Trade Ideas - Part 2

Irving/Haywood for Lawson/W.Chandler followed by Smith for Afflalo wink wink deal.

Lawson would fit LBJ & Love so much better than Kyrie along with giving great team player depth at the wings to play off the stars.

Too crazy?

Cavs aren't trading Kyrie the first year the Big Three is together. It just isn't going to happen.

Trading Kyrie is such a bad idea.

Felton + conditional pick (if he opts out next summer) for Haywood, anyone?

IMO, it would take more than a worthless player (Felton) and a conditional draft pick to give up Haywoods 10.5 cap trade value for next summer. Haywood is more useful to the Cavs than Felton would be on the court or cap wise.

Felton and Devin Harris for Haywood would be interesting.

I would have to disagree wholeheartedly. 2 years of Felton on the books, and Harris for 3? I think we can find a better, most cost effective, fit at the backup PG spot.

It was this summer so Felton, who would only have a year left, wouldn't necessarily make the final roster. I think that Harris at $4 million per is chump change for a good back up PG.

So you are still comfortable spending $8+ million on a backup PG for a season? I think there are and will be better options out there. Someone like Jameer Nelson would be a better pursuit in my opinion.

Sign Perkins if he gets waived?
I can't believe I just typed that.
Perkins has actually been decent off the bench this year with OKC.

I'd love to have Perkins. Every team in the playoffs needs an enforcer. When Noah decides to send Kyrie to the floor hard, Kendrick can come in and accidentally put an elbow in his neck.

I guess if Perkins will elbow Noah in the neck maybe he won't be so bad.
