Glad Fischella doesn't run the team, that's one ugly deal

Wondering, should the cavs entertain a afflalo/waiters deal with denver? My gut says Denver will look to move him for a legitimate go to scorer.

Dion Waiters/Haywood for Afflalo

Mosgov for TPE/2nd rounder?

No they shouldn't. In addition to the fact that the Cavs aren't trading Haywood this year, having watched AA and Waiters play mano y mano last year, I'm not convinced AA's defense is that much better than Waiters.

a friend of mine proposed an idea it went something like

Love
Waiters
Haywood if needed for salary reasons.

for

Marc
ZBo
Tony Allen

I'd do it... this makes us significantly older instantly & makes the big picture duller but, I'd do it.

LOL

Why would the first place team in the West trade a guy who's arguably the best 5 in the game right now, their starting 4 who scores like a beast and defends hard - and an outstanding perimeter defender

for

an outstanding scoring 4 who plays zero D, a scoring 2 who plays zero D, and a journeyman center.

That takes Memphis from being legit title threats to being the 5-8th seed in the West

Memphis never does this. It is far more likely that Gasol re-signs with Memphis than Love. In addition the salaries don't match. Haywood's contract isn't worth $10 million until the summer.

greetings...Cavs still have a 5.3 million dollar TPE right. Brandon Wright fits into that. Just wondering what you all think...would he fill a need. seems like depth at C / PF is a little thin. If he is desired what sort of asset would you give up. A 2nd rounder..or maybe the Memphis Protected 1st? Just curious. cheers.

We have a glut of 6-9/6-10 guys. We need a true center. Though his BPG average is intriguing.

yep definitely not a true center but was backing up Chandler in Dallas. has great length(7-4 wingspan) and hops so can and does block a lot of shots. He is listed at 220 so not great girth. Seems like his role is coming of the Bench able to play C and PF. Better suited for a contender than boston

If AV or TT were to be traded, then yes, it would be an ideal move.

Now that Varejao is hurt. What players do you plan on targeting in a trade since you don't have a big. Or do you plan on starting Thompson at C?? I thought Ezili from GS might be a good target for you guys.

Why would the Warriors trade Festus when Bogut is out and is injury prone?

LAC trade :
DeAndre Jordan
JJ Redick

CLE trade:
Kevin Love
Mike Miller

Truth is Kevin Love is diminished to just being a shooter (replaceable) in a offense where there is a scoring pg, Kyrie Irving and a ball-dominant LeBron James (his right he earned). Kevin Love is not a clear out post up guy so he doesn't not add any needed dimension to the offense outside of shooting. Love is a great player but defense is bad at best.
Trade with Clippers has the potential to take both teams off the fringe-contender list. Cavs get JJ Redick for more shooting and I really would like to see Tristan Thompson bring his offensive rebounding and pure hustle to the starting PF role.

How is Dalembert worth a TPE and a 1st? Please explain. The Knicks would be lucky to just get a TPE for him.

Thinking you are over the cap if not the pick is just fine. Matter of fact two seconds would do.

Just an idea: http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=o5nltxx

Three team trade. DEN-CLE-DET.
Cle Out/In: Love, Harris, Dion/Faried, Mozgov, Pope, Afflalo.
Den Out/In: Afflalo, Mozgov, Faried/Jennings, Monroe, Harris
Det Out/In: Monroe, Pope, Jennings/Love, Dion

Irving/Delly/Price
Afflalo/Miller/Pope
James/Marion/Jones
Faried/Thompson/Ammundson
Mozgov/Kirk/Haywood

Balance+Defense+Value for Love who may leave in the summer for nothing.

A first or a pair of seconds for Dalembert? He's been decently productive, but has been plenty available for the past few years. Teams haven't been lining up to woo him with offers.

Like a previous poster said, he'd be worth absorbing into the TPE to take the money off of the Knicks books. Might give one of the highly protected 2nds that are unlikely ever to be conveyed or rights to a euro player who will never come over. You're crazy if you think he'd be worth a 1st or a pair of 2nds.

I see it like this.

Sammy D is worth NOTHING to 28 other teams out there.....but the Cavs need someone like Sammy D more than 29 other teams out there. Cleveland wants him for his market worth, but the Cleveland is also the only team that would want him. NY knows that.

Tarik Black was waived today. He'd fit perfectly with the starting lineup.
