Hawes drawing interest from the Clippers. We'll probably have to way over-pay him. If we overpay for a guy like Hawes, we might as well go after Parsons instead.

I'll probably be a line wolf here but we should offer bosh a contract. He's awesome and we have the cash. Better than over paying Haywood

So let me get this straight...

According to Windhorst, LeBron isnt talking to anyone about his plans. (We've seen that before)

He is effectively holding the Heat hostage by not committing. (We've seen that before)

No other Free Agents are signing with the Heat due to his lack of commitment. (We've seen that before too)

There are less and less free agents available every day for the Heat to add. They have limited cap space, they have no tradeable assets, and their superstar is holding them hostage. All sorts of writing on the wall here.

Yeah but I don't think he comes here. If he leaves he signs a two year deal with a team he thinks can contend now and then who knows maybe after that contract he might come here.

Hawes signs 4 year 23 million dollar deal with clippers.

Wonder if we offered him a contract, that's a great price.

Funny.

Houston has the worst FO in the league, Let Asik, Lin and Parsons go for nothing, lost out on Melo and Bosh and gave up their 1st round pick on top of that.

To be fair they offered Melo and Bosh everything they could have ever wanted; a better chance at winning a title than their current teams and the max contract. However, NY could offer Melo more and Bosh loves it in Miami. Those factors were not in Houston's control.
Letting Asik go was necessary to create the capspace, and Lin hasn't really contributed to the Rockets as far as I can tell. Not matching Parsons was a mistake.

Not the worst front office by any stretch but they did have a badish off season.

As for Lin he's just a miss-used whipping boy in Houston.

Houston's FO swings for the fences. Just think about where they were during the CP3 trade, trying desperately to land Pau Gasol as their first star. Now they've gotten Harden at 25 cents on the dollar because OKC is cheap, lured Howard away from the dysfunctional Lakers, and were a Chris Bosh decision away from being legit contenders. Sure it cost them some assets to go after Bosh, but that's the cost of doing business. It cost the Cavs some assets to go after Lebron this offseason...same process, different outcome.

Putting it here since Heat fans won't see it, no need to bait em, I just found it very ironic.
