Peralta lit up again in AAA. 3IP 8hits 7 runs 6 earned 1BB 3k's. The fall of Peralta following that Jungmann path.

A 1-8 or 2-7 road trip. Awesome.

Starting off w a loss at Oakland on the heels of a brutal upcoming stretch...that trade deadline is looking mighty tasty. Stay thirsty, friends. Stay thirsty.

I was thinking that maybe Peralta has a drinking problem. He shouldn't be this bad. He often seemed highly temperamental and moody even when he was pitching well. He was always a big guy but he never looked fatter and less toned than this year. I thought I noticed real dark circles under his eyes. This is around the time where you expect a bad habit like that too start catching up to a young player. That's my current theory.

I didn't think Jungmann was ever very good, just some early career luck until the book is out on a guy.

Peralta never was going to be good if he never figured out how to get lefties out. Most of his career has been a mirage where his ERA is lower than his FIP/xFIP. His magical 2014 year included +1.5 MPH on his fastball from the past 2 and he destroyed righties that year. For whatever reason (velocity is probably part of it), he stopped at least getting the RH batters out and now he's cooked. His numbers aren't going to improve in the hitter-friendly PCL/Colorado Springs AAA unless he starts throwing almost 97 again or figures out a better changeup to get lefties out.

Junior Guerra has been the biggest surprise of the season for the Brewers. When he qualifies he will be in the top 30 in ERA and top 20 in WHIP in the NL. Most guys have 4 or 5 more starts than him.

Pretty impressive for a guy out of affiliated baseball from 2009-2015.

I just don't get how this team is doing it. They really need to lose a lot before the deadline so there is no choice but to wheel and deal.

Yeah, you typically don't score **** when you bat **** Ben Revere and Michael Taylor at the top of the order. If we could just hire Dusty Baker for the next couple of years tactically and keep him away from our pitchers, we would suck so bad and be set up nicely. What a god damn moron.

Haha! I came just to read your reaction.

Seriously though. They need to stop winning.

Saw this coming. I wouldnt be shocked if Kirk is DFA'd soon too. Its getting to be around that time of the year guys who bring nothing to the table get the boot off the 40. Manny Pina, Cecchini, Middlebrooks, and Pinto all deserve looks again at the MLB level. Need to keep the wheel turning. Sell Hill, Carter, Scooter, Luc, and Braun. Bring up the next wave to create value.
