If we lose this game, the blame should fall squarely on Yost's shoulders. Two poor steal decisions and a poor job handling Bush's collapse in the 7th.

Yes, Yost should be blamed, but at some point Weeks and Hall need to hit.

Two runs won't win games against good competition anyway.

Yeah, weeks and hall need to get out of their slumps but I'm confident that they will. The good thing about being so far over .500 now is that we can afford these losses from time to time. We aren't going to win em all you know lol.

Win 4, lose 1. I'm ok with that, just break that Curse of the Retros tomorrow night

I agree completely.

Yost did a horrible job. Bush didn't look right to me after about 3 pitches in the 7th inning. If I could notice it, how could Yost not? If he is known for blow up innings, why not pull him right away? The base running errors sucked too but the 9th inning was managed horribly as well. Estrada looked like crap all night and saw a total of 6 or 7 pitches in what, 4 AB's. I would have liked to see a pinch hitter there. The one thing that made it somewhat ok though was that he is a switch hitter. See what ticks me off is Torres allows lefties to hit .444 against him and just .226 against him versus righties. Why not have Jenkins (lefty) pinch hit right away for Mench (righty)? I can even understand that somewhat if you think Mench has been hitting pretty well lately. But what I cannot understand or forgive is why did he allow Graffanino (righty) to go out there when Gross (lefty) is a better hitter and has about a .218 advantage over Graffanino against Torres. I just felt like we threw that game away.

especially considering our bullpen is good and rested he should have pulled bush sooner.

I was surprised he left Bush out there after the leadoff double, and then shocked after Bay hit the next one.

That and the idiotic hit and runs with the pitcher type plays are my main complaints. He needs to pinch hit more to take advantage of L/R splits more often too. We have a deep bench; use the damn thing.

We really need to shore up our middle relief -- Latin Cappy??? -- so we have one more reliable guy in the pen.
