Gatewood went down with a knee injury yesterday. Sounds like it could be an ACL situation. They're awaiting an MRI today.

Sucks on Gatewood. Arcia continues to rake, 3 for 4 again last night.

Nice article on Arica. A person in the comment section there made a good point that he is a 20 year old SS in AA but he also missed an entire year with injury so if that wouldn't have happened he could be even further along. Probably is underated as a prospect nationwide, he could be a great one. Brewers will hopefully be able to take advantage of so many quality players at SS. Even Rivera, who is currently playing 2B at Biloxi could be a decent SS eventually.

Looks like Gatewood dodged any ligament damage to his knee. He'll be out for a bit but no surgery.

OPS breakdown:

Leal (C, 23, L-A): .990
Neuhaus (3B, 20, L-A): .957
Arcia (SS, 20, AA): .936
Rivera (2B, 23, AA): .865
Sardinas (SS, 22, AAA): .736
Coulter (RF, 21, H-A): 1.032
Roache (LF, 23, H-A): .893
Reed (RF, 22, AA): .799
Gatewood (SS, 19, L-A): .519
Taylor (CF, 21, AA): .608
Harrison (19, CF, L-A): .530
Denson (20, 1B, L-A): .549

Basically, we are still looking really strong with middle infield guys, and one OF spot with Coulter. Think they should move Leal up to see what he has. Have to think we use our SS depth in trades.

Is Neuhaus a legit prospect? I haven't really heard of that name before. Looks like he is a ways away, but good to see a 3B on there.

I wonder if Sardinas gets a look at 2B in the bigs this year if Scooter continues to struggle.

There's enough to like about Tucker Neuhaus. Long rangy high school shortstop. Somewhat limited athlete so they moved him to 3rd. Read some scouts think he can be plus there with 25 HR power potential.

neuhaus was a 2nd rounder in 2013 who started really slow the last 2 years...young for his age i think he just turned 20..has upside and nice to see him come back from an injury playing good..if the brewers can have a good draft and make trades at the deadline for prospects we can reallyl have a good minor league system going and build this team up

Will be interesting to see who ends up at SS-3B-2B in a few years with Neuhaus, Lara, Arcia, Rivera, and Gatewood.

The Brewers' next window is probably in a few years, starting around 2017 when those guys plus Taylor, Harrison, and Coulter are arriving. Along with Braun at 1B, Davis in LF, Lucroy at C? Not sure who will be pitching, I guess Peralta and Nelson plus prospects we get in trades this year.

Didn't realize that Neuhaus is still a teenager because he had been not so good the last couple of years. Would be great if he could turn into a solid 3B prospect.

Medeiros 11 K per 9 so far. Not being 19 yet, impressive for A Ball. Obviously, still lots to work on in terms of control. 4.7 BB/9 so far.

I'm wondering why Rivera got promoted and not Arcia?

Arcia is really young for AA. No need to rush him to AAA.

Imo Brewers are taking way too long on promoting their prospects. Their Triple A has a bunch of 25 year old players as prospects, and other Triple A have 22 year old as theirs.

Brewers called up Knebel and sent Scooter to AAA.

Now he can head down and overinflate his numbers down there.

I still like Scooter as a useful player vs. righties someday in the majors. One thing to note is the people that thought he could hit lefties as well in the majors because he "had a pretty good batting average vs. LHP in the minors." Don't use batting average for splits, kids. It's not safe.
