Bullpen is probably worse
Villar and/or Perez could regress
Braun could miss more time than he did last year
No half season of Lucroy
We got a bit lucky last year
We will be experimenting with trying to milk value out of Garza and probably putting good pitchers in AAA or in middle relief for part of the season.

I think what's interesting is the utter lack of confidence anyone seems to have on the existing guys improving. It's like everyone is waiting on regression from Villar, Davies, Perez, Broxton, Guerra, etc. Given the ages of a lot of these guys, you would should reasonably expect improvements.

My reasons for regression:

1) Trading Lucroy, Wil Smith, Jefress, Thornburg. Lose talent and veteran leadership.
2) I feel Guerra is going to regress. The rest of the staff doesn't inspire any confidence for me.
3) Lot of talent but it's young. They need seasoning.

I think think the offense will be better than last year, but the pitching staff could end up being one of the worst in the league.

The rotation looks bad and there is a lack of starter prospects in the high minors. Last year the bullpen was an asset, this year it looks shaky at best.

Teams with bad pitching usually finish with bad records. So i see the Brewers winning around 73-75 games.

I think an improvement in ability and a decrease in numbers/production aren't mutually exclusive. Villar for example could be a "better baseball player" this year, but I highly doubt he'll post a .373 babip or 12% FB/HR this year.

I would've lost some money on Shaw. :)

Really fun season. Bummer we couldn't get in. Going forward, it'll be interesting to track how many teams finish 10 games over and miss out on the playoffs. Again, wrong year, wrong league.

Can't wait to see what Stearns has in store for this offseason and beyond.

I haven't looked through all of them, but I have to be basically the only person that called the Rockies making the playoffs. And all of the division winners (those were painfully obvious). I'll take that.

Haha, I had Wily as pleasant surprise as pitcher. Yikes. I did hit on Santana (pleasant surprise) nd Guerra (disappointment). Braun far from MVP. Davies not MVP pitcher but was okay. Way off on record. Hit in all division winners but missed on all wild card picks. Mediocre effort at best by yours truly.
