I wonder if this team makes it to the playoffs or comes within a game or two of it if Jenkins would take less money to stay here. You would think he would consider it with all the losing years he has suffered through all this time. If this team even sniffs the playoffs you would think it would be hard for a guy like Jenkins to go else where.

Usually this is the week that Sports Illustrated picks out the surprise team in MLB and sends a top writer to follow them for a week.....then the cover story appears a week later.

I'm guessing an SI cover story within two-weeks providing something crazy doesn't happen in the NBA playoffs...

Awesome. National attention and it's all well deserved.

Some really good stuff in that article

Jenks talking about sharing time with Hart and Mench...
"They just crush lefties, so I can't argue with it," Jenkins said. "As long as we're winning games, that's the main thing."

Commenting on Uecker's comments that the team hasnt hit its full potential
While Hardy has been hot of late, leading everyday players in OPS, Fielder is batting .273 with six homers but has yet to go on a powerful tear. Weeks is hitting .231. Hall is at .255. Sheets is 2-2 and still finding his form. Capuano is 4-0 but insists he's not throwing well yet ("I haven't gone deep into many games, my walks are up, I'm just pitching average," he said).

Nice article. Luke Winn is from Wisconsin I think (or he went to school here at least), so I'm sure he was happy to have an excuse to pimp the Brewers a bit.
