Yeah, watching yesterday game and when Dick said that the team ERA was close to 6. I was shocked, I thought the pitching staff was going to be better than last year. Guess we were young.

That is true.

But, I think that the pitching stuff will turn it around. They can not stay this bad for the whole season. Right????

If he had any control than I might agree with you there. But, he does not.

speaking of control - bases loaded, tie game - would you rather have Deduno or Sergio Santos on the mound 8-)

On the awesome side, Gibson starting to tear it up...ace is emerging. Offense is 1st in the majors in OBP by far. 2nd in runs. If the pitching staff can give anything, playoffs!

Can I pick either? Haha.

Last year when they brought up Gibson, I told my dad that is the new Nolan Ryan. And he just started to laugh at me.

But, he looked really good yesterday. MAybe he is turning the corner.

team average is falling, but still stop 5 in runs and 1st in obp. If pitching staff was even average, Twins would be a top 8 team right now. Somehow the Twins have even managed to win 3 of the 5 games Nolasco has pitched in. Speaking of Nolasco, 12 mil a year...un **** believable.

I remember earlier in the season Lebron was complaining about the NBA salary cap screwing him out of value and it sounded ridiculous at first because he's making a shade under 20 mil, but then I do the math - top 10 NBA player of all time 19 mil, Ricky Nolasco 12 mil - and I kinda get it. I'd probably be pissed too if I was him, though Nolasco probably goes home every night and looks in the mirror and says "America! What a country!"

Looming back at this season.

Hughes has looked great and Ricky has been rough.

All I know that the future rotation of Hughes, Gibsons, May, Meyers, and Milone look good coming up.

Let's just hope that they stay healthy.

Return to Minnesota Twins
