Buxton's debut

Post#1 » by Devilzsidewalk » Wed Mar 27, 2013 10:57 pm

Buxton, 19, made an immediate impression, singling in his first at-bat against Pirates right-hander A.J. Burnett before stealing second and advancing to third on the throw, which went into center field. He then scored the first run of the game on an RBI groundout from Joe Mauer.

"It was pretty awesome," said Buxton, who went 1-for-4 with a walk, two stolen bases and three runs scored. "The first at-bat, I got it out of the way and just relaxed. I was able to hit the ball and just have a good time."

"He's a stud," Twins manager Ron Gardenhire said. "He's a five-tool guy. He has all the baseball intangibles. So now we just to need to get him some experience."

so Buxton looks great immediately and Appel refused to sign. I guess thats the end of my short-lived MLB draft prognostications career.
