Seeing the pitchers that have pitched for the mets it's amazing that they have had 8000+ games without a no hitter

Remember when Pedro had one going against the dodgers in LA until gerad fvkn Williams fvked him over in the 8th inning I think...mets ended up blowin that whole game in the end lol

Claim? Who's claiming anything? Mets' fans just want to enjoy the first no-hitter thrown in the history of its franchise. You have a problem with that?

Your ego must be a little fragile.

I missed this game. :(

I am very happy for the Mets and Johan.

Go Mets!

RA Dicky tomorrow, defiantly going to watch him.

Get lost man. This is an important day in Mets' history. You should still have some appreciation since it is still a New York team.

Every team goes through its ups and downs. The Mets have been down for the last few years, and this is quite an achievement.

I am glad I made the move from the Yankees to the Mets.

I think Yankee fans are annoying, but I still appreciate the Yankees since they are a New York team and they still have some of the home grown players I used to watch as a kid.

Johan Santana

6/1/12 * 1st "No Hitter" in Mets History

* Carlos Beltran hit a fair ball and would have had at least a double if it weren't for a stupid dumb blind umpire.

Enjoy your asterisk for a No HItter. Some stupid dumb blind ignorant arrogant POS Umpire who is too stupid to see the chalk kick up in the air and the impression the ball made past the 3rd base line on the foul line.

Why did you switch from a Yankees fan to a Mets fan?How is that even possible to do that? Were you a diehard Yankee fan because I couldnt see any Yankee fan do that or vice versa.

Not a base ball fan but congrats when I root it is for the Mets they are easier to like mostly because of idiotic comments like that. but bring up steroids and the yankee fan fans shut up. Clemons cheated and by proxy the yankees so it is ok cheat on one hand but not the other get bent

This thread is the reason why I can't stand Yankee fans. For every good one, there are 10 who belong in special ed.

its unbelievable to me. i came into this thread happy to be a mets fan, and im leaving absolutely disgusted as a person. the hate people feel the need to express, jut to make other people feel bad, is just despicable.

i guess OT threads are off limits to being modded, otherwise maybe this could have stayed a celebratory thread, rather then a bashing session. f'n sad.
There's something about an underdog that really inspires the unexceptional.

The word "disgusted" is being overused by Mets fans in this thread. Yankees fans are coming in here as a joke and you all are acting like pregnant women who are pmsing.

As a Mets fan, I never thought I would see the day. As a franchise that has always had great pitchers, we never had any of them throw a no-hitter for us. 10 of our pitchers had thrown no-hitters before coming to the Mets and 7 of our pitchers had thrown no-hitters after leaving the Mets. We have been hit I believe 9 or 10 times. This is big- the curse of the no-hitter is finally behind us!!! Maybe there will be something amazing that will happen at CitiField this year?
