Agent: Troy Tulowitzki considering asking Rockies for trade

Post#1 » by cmoney24x » Tue May 12, 2015 11:54 pm

Rockies shortstop Troy Tulowitzki is reportedly considering asking the only team he's ever played with for a trade, his agent Paul Cohen said per the New York Post.

"To say that it is not a possibility would be silly," Cohen said. "It could get to the point for [owner] Dick Monfort and GM Jeff [Bridich] that the storyline every day with the team is when is Tulowitzki being traded. That is negative for the franchise as the idea of trading the face of the franchise. They are smart enough to recognize they don't want that going forward."

Tulowitzki will meet with his agent on Thursday to seriously discuss the decision. He is hitting .307 with two home runs and 10 RBI in 101 at-bats so far this season.

We've been linked to Tulo since last year; ironically, this news come out the day Syndergaard is set to make his debut. We should be watching this situation very closely.

Supposedly her prefers a bigger team like the Yankees, Dodgers, Giants.

Rockies' asking price will include Thor at least.

I don't see Alderson making a big trade till he sees how Reynolds turns out.

No Tulo. Too injury prone, too much money and it'll take too many pitching prospects to get him. Forget it. I'm content to wait for Cecchini and/or Rosario. Just get a stop-gap guy or Matt Reynolds for the next year or two.

Supposedly, the deal now would be Matz, Montero, and Plawecki.

I want to keep Matz tbh. I wanna see how he turns out. He's a lefty and Niese looks to be slipping.

That ship has sailed. Thor has come up to the bigs and looks filthy. While Troy has a monster Contract and is hitting a obp of .286. THe rockies asking price must come down.

Even giving up Matz at this point doesn't seem worth it. If Tulo was healthy, I'd definitely want to do it. We need a leadership type guy with Wright out. But if he comes here, we are just going to have a leader on the DL for half a season.

He's officially on the Jays now.

I'm a little relieved. Whatever the Rockies were asking the Mets, was probably too much for Alderson.

If Troy had a healthy history, I'd pull the trigger. But there are only 2-3 position players that have a healthy history on our roster. We can't have another injury prone player.
