Masterpiece performance by Harvey, no win for him though. He had runners in scoring position multiple times and got out of the jams.

Familia with his first blown-save, but it didn't result in a loss.

Mayberry with the clutch hit. So Kirk is definitely gone if the Mets are shopping for a better bench bat. Not even sure why he comes on as a pinch hitter. The pitchers bat better than him. Finding a different pinch hitter who bats .200 rather than .090 will make a big difference.

I think the story in this game - after Harvey's performance - is the 4 inning relief performances of The Torres Brothers and Erik Goeddell, who I really like a lot. They held the Cardinal lineup down while we finally eeked out a run to win it.

I too am liking what I am seeing from Goeddell. So far, so good for him.
