A: So many good players here on the New York Mets and the Yankees on the other side, too, so I can't really tell who's the best.

A: I appreciate that, but I don't put that stuff in my head because I play the game and don't worry about nothing else.
Q: MVP?
A: I don't think about that at all.
Q: Gold Glove?
A: There are a lot of great shortstops in this league, so let's see.
Q: Why do kids like you so much?
A: They see how I play, how I try to enjoy the game as much as possible. I have fun when I play. They see that and they maybe say in their mind, 'I want to play like Jose Reyes.'
Q: They see the enthusiasm.
A: Exactly.
Q: When you walk in the door after a good game, do your parents and girlfriend greet you with, "Jose, Jose, Jose, Jose?"
A: (Laughs). No, they just say "you got a good game," stuff like that.
