Yankees (9-6) @ Tampa (7-8): a real test

Post#1 » by Dr. Detfink » Thu Apr 17, 2014 4:48 am

So far, I like what I am seeing from this team of short hand/manufacturing runs. Before the Yanks would rely on just hacking away. Today, every out is a productive out whether it be advancing a run or sacrificing to bringing one in. The pitching is led by youth of Tanaka, Pineda, Nova...and the veteran savvy of the ageless one, Kuroda.

Unfortunately Game features CC Sabbathia vs David Price. Ugh.

Jeez, Beltran nearly cracked his neck running for that foul ball.

Solarte and Jeter have been saving CC's ass today.

CC being the 4th or 5th best starter is a hell of a luxury to have. Offense has been good lately too. So far so good.

impressive win considering they did that against a stud in Price.

Yup. I must admit going into this season I had reservations because I didn't see these guys like I did watching Bernie, Mo, Jeter develop. It feels strange not recognizing the fixtures. That said, slowly but surely I must admit these guys are earning back my trust.

I Do love this rotation. Tanaka, Pindea, Kuroda is filth. Nova is quietly steady. Anything CC can bring is cake.

Nova to the DL. Joe starts Nuno with a 14.5 ERA. Ok...
