I think it's safe to say the more things change...the more they stay the same. Small ball is back with the Yankees but so are the AL West teams: Rangers, A's, Angels...all showing strong signs of contending.

Is JR Murphy a legit catching prospect?


Where does he fit in terms of projection with:

Sanchez
Romine
Cervelli
Murphy
?

Seems like Murphy is another Cervelli ( in term of sort of player he projects to) while Sanchez seems to be the guy the Yanks hope or advertise as the one who will make it the biggest. Is that correct?

Catcher - the one position the Yankees seem to produce quality MLB'ers at. That and middle relief.
