Yankees (61-51) @ Cleveland Indians (53-59): Save some Ca$h!

Right around this time of the year is when all teams call up their prospects, throw young guys in the mix, hoping for a glimmer that they can carry into next season. You saw that when the Yanks brought up Serevino.

During Serevino's start, you got a sense of how much the level of the competition from AAA to the MLB changes. Serevino who was a strikeout machine in AAA is finding out, MLBers don't often take the bait.

For the Indians, they're benefiting from a "We've got nothing to lose" mentality. TWO tight games snakebit the Yanks.

That's amusing because up until this point, the talk in NYC has been:
1. Yankees are cruising just fine in the Post-Jeter era.
2. Brian Cashman's genius behold the tail end of the batting order.
3. Alex Rodriguez should be in the MVP conversation.
4. Our bullpen will save us.

Well, the hitting has pardon the pun, hit the wall since the series in Toronto. This is the second half of the season when it counts most.

Now, the question is, DO the Yanks have enough to make to the post season? We'll find out soon enough after losing a 6 game lead in just 10 days.
