Anyone have one of those lying around that they might part with for a 2B/SS? My hope is the Blue Jays fall out of contention and we can swing a massive deal for Jose Bautista once our starting rotation is back at full strength. I know Saunders isn't a great trade piece on his own, but a Canadian national with a .940 OPS at Rogers Centre? I think we could have some building blocks if the need arises.

I was thinking either Kemp or Ethier on the Dodgers off the top of my head. But ownership would have to pony-up the bucks, if you know what I mean. 8-)

They definitely have a log jam in the outfield but Crawford, Ethier, Kemp, and Puig are all decent bets to miss games due to injuries. They're probably going to be in contention all year and right about the time Dee Gordon stops hitting is probably about the time Guerrero's ready to contribute at 2B.

But yeah...if we could land Kemp? Goodbye, Franklin.

It was just a thought. :D

YES!

Tomorrow is the key game. If we can win tomorrow, then we've got Felix on Friday with a very good chance to get to 7-2.

Me would like that. :)

If Kemp is healthy, then yeah. Of course if Kemp is healthy, the Dodgers probably want to keep him and trade Crawford or Ethier. The problem with those guys for us is they both have pretty big platoon splits (worse against lefties) that don't fit with what we need. I thought about trying to pry Joc Pederson, but he has the same splits.

I don't know about this one tonight. Down 2-0 in the 4th. I wanted to get to 7-2 to give us a buffer till Iwakuma and Walker (now Paxton) could work their way back to the mound. I don't know. We'll see.

First game of the year I missed...I chose wisely! How 'bout them Mariners. They get some momentum, come home to a decent sized crowd, and get only one hit on the evening. A loss is just a loss, but damn if this team isn't just determined to prevent fair-weather fans from spending their money on the product they offer.

Too bad it unravelled a bit in the 7th there. But that aside, Felix is becoming not only my all time favorite Mariner, but also moving up the list of my all time favorite Seattle sports legends.
