M's @ Texas

Post#1 » by nuke the whales » Wed May 21, 2014 1:54 am

The Minnesota thread got zero replies, but losing two 1-run games to cap a four game losing streak and go back under .500 will do that. Now we go to Texas for two against a team that's in a similar position in terms of wins and even worse in terms of pitcher injuries. Hart is on the DL with a hammy and Franklin is the DH tonight. As I type this, the M's are up 5-2. Important stretch to get some ground back with the next 8 after this at home vs. Houston and Anaheim.

Kuma looks as good as he's ever looked since he came over from Japan. Wow. Nice to see the offense come alive and stay in control almost the whole way through. Franklin looked very good which is huge since we're going to be without Hart for a couple months.

Iwakuma is simply a monster. Top 5 pitcher in baseball. No doubt.

Fun game so far. Young started off on a bad note but has calmed down. Cano just hit a two run bomb after a Saunders' single and James Jones' triple. It's a shame I can only listen to this one on the radio today.
