M's vs. Atlanta

Post#1 » by nuke the whales » Wed Jun 4, 2014 3:12 am

So after taking 2 of 3 against the Tigers despite Endy Chavez and Willie Bloomquist being prominently involved and Felix doing what Felix does in NY, we won the first game of the series thanks to HR's from Buck and Romero (pinch hitting even) to go two games above .500. How did that just happen? Is this finally turning a corner or just the up part of the roller coaster before losing five in a row?

That was a crazy game. When Romero hit that home run, it felt like fate dictated the game was ours for the taking. And that opposite field blast from Buck? Amazing.

Don't look know, but Brad Miller's starting to get going offensively as well.

Miller is starting to look better and Saunders and Seager have been much better. On the flip side, Franklin got sent back down, Maurer and Ramirez have been bad as the #5 starter, and Smoak has been terrible. Smoak in particular is a problem because with Morrison and Hart both out and Choi suspended, we don't have a DH either and our only other alternative is... umm... Montero.

Yeah. Smoak sucks. Hey remember that guy named Morales? Who plays a pretty good 1B too? Haha.

Ive been impressed with the offense lately, but its still not too encouraging except for Cano and Seager.

Our bullpen was awesome tonight though. 6 shutout innings.

Morales isn't a full-time 1B. If he was, he probably would have been signed by a NL team. Apparently Smoak has been dealing with a nagging inury (again). This time a quad.

Has Smoak been dealing with that for 3 years now? Must be why he has sucked so bad. *eyeroll*

I hope we dont pinch hit for Kuma here. I want another inning or two out of him.

I missed the whole damn thing because...a game at 9:00 a.m.? Really? Sounds like it was a hell of game though.
