Jefferson has gotten PT priority over Aminu recently.
I understand RC likes vets and RJ can shoot better than Aminu but Aminu should get the defensive assignment.

Lol, Rondo's shooting is just comical.

Why is he so bad?
People used to say Shaq was a bad FT shooter because his hands were so big (not sure how true this is). I know Rondo has big hands ... maybe that's why?

"Fans" are weird. Such perfectionists.

We still have less that 2 quarters to show up. For now, if the Hawks have the momentum, we should stop their backcourt from running circles around us.

Dirk and Parsons need to become more aggressive on their J's so that Rondo, Ellis, and Chandler can have the paint for themselves. Make the Hawks' bigs work their D on our big men. By 4th quarter, Ellis and Rondo can explode while Parsons' and Dirk's shooting are hot.

Also, Rondo should not try jumpshots. He has the offseason to do that. For now, he needs to work on it slowly in the gym. Ellis is still the better jumpshooter between them. He should just distribute the ball and score layups.

Anyway, Aminu deserves more minutes. He should be the one defending Korver.

The key is to keep the lead small until the Hawks run out of gas or when the Mavs scorers get their mojo going at the start of the 4th.

Mavericks are playing 4 on 6 on offense when he is on the court.

Dallas has effectively lost the PNR on the 1st and 2nd teams.

Rondo is not a threat to drive and it makes Tyson useless on Offense.
By Wright being traded, Barea & Harris has nobody to Alley Oop to.
Wright gave 8-10 points on Offense off freebie dunks.
As of right now, Rondo has shot 3-9. If you take those 6 shots and give them to Wright, Dallas would have 46 points.

Wow.. Just at half time, Rondo has taken almost as many shots as Ellis, Parsons, and Chandler combined.

smh.

3-guard lineup again. Sheeeeiiiit

I give this guys 5 games to adjust to each other.

Ya know, I'm a bit worried with Dirk's offensive woes recently. Is he really losing the mojo or he's just tired of carrying the team now. I think he really wants Monta to carry the team now.

Sometime RC make some very questionable decisions... I remember when he was giving Mike James and Derek Fisher some heavy minutes instead of Darren Collison

They're giving him wide open shots, he has to keep taking those. The more he shoots (including in practice) the more he'll get comfortable. That will take time though. The problem is that no one else is hitting their shots. Part of it is that they need to get use to playing with Rondo. He's getting the ball to them when they don't expect it, they need to expect the ball at any time. It's clear they are having some growing pains. It will be after the All Star break before they really get use to playing together. They are sorely missing another big off the bench.

Dirk new shooting form is not good to him because its seems he does not have time to focus.

Aminu has to be doing something in practice that Carlisle doesn't like. Unless they are trying to keep his value down so they can get him on the cheap after the season (since they don't have Bird Rights in him).

Nothing going right in the first half. Kind of like that Monta breakaway dunk miss.

But it should be better in the second half, hopefully, especially for Monta.

Once the Mavs develop their chemistry to a fit, I think they need to learn how to hate their opponents.

Like how 2008 Boston Celtics and the 2004 Detroit Pistons hate their opponents. I mean I know the Mavs are thinner than most teams in the NBA but this doesn't mean they should become soft too.

If they can't do that, they should at least want to win more than the opponent.

They need to be rabid competitors. One example is Manu Ginobili. He's not the most consistent scorer, best athlete, or the biggest or most lengthy body on the court but in terms of competition, he wants to win more than most players that he'll do everything to win like sell fouls and sacrifice his body even if it irks critics.

The only good news is that the Rockets are winning so it will put the blazers with 7 defeats, Grizzlies are not having a good game, Spurs are winning the clippers.... We should take this game because with this scenario it will put us only one game behind the 2nd place
