So much effort defensively to give 2 offensive board on a b2b

Once again non-Lively minutes are absolutely killing us. Giving up rebound after rebound and 2nd chance points like nothing else.

If there ever was a game or two, it's this one and previous vs Bucks, where it was evident how much this team needs 2ndary big next to Lively.

Also might give DJJ more minutes with his athleticism to match some of Kings quickness. Kidd probably already forgot he exists.

Only if the Mavs could rebound... and stop sleeping on defense when its late on the shot clock.

We need a rebounding forward to fill the final hole in the starting lineup. A backup big like Richard's or Robin Lopez would help too.

Or you know at least play someone like Morris or Holmes next to Powell to give a bit of size help at the 4 when you're already badly outmuscled at the 5.

Obviously that comes with other limitations but maybe we'd at least grab a rebound.

Mavs offense is just two guys trying to play 1v5, while Kings move the ball, cut to the rim, set multiple screens, etc... Is Kidd really this freaking horrible or they just decided to take the night off? On top of that no defensive schemes. Kings getting up any shot they want.

They played them well 34 minutes, but there was no energy left.
Pull the starters, on to the next one.

You can't win games without playing defense...B2b can not be an excuses...two collapses in a row,Kidd needs to start screaming at them ...you can't win if you don't try on D and if your only option on O is to Jack up threes

They played well 32 minutes, it's hard to defend the Kings.
I expect 3 wins in the next 3 games if they keep it up.

It's hard to defend anybody if you're the Mavs...their D is atrocious, they are only winning games because of an excelent O(FG and 3pt%)

With this D they ain't winning against the Lakers,Clippers or the Rockets...too many easy baskets

Yeah the D was just too bad today. Just giving up penetration every possession to literally everyone. Got to wonder if it's lack of effort or teams starting to figure out our weakspots in our defense more now. I think it's a combination of both but I think it's moreso the latter. I feel like teams are not scared to let it rip against the Mavs because they know that once it goes up, there's a good chance of getting an offensive rebound anyway because of all the switching and smalls often in the paint to end possessions.

No way in hell we can beat Kings in the playoffs. They will win in 5 easy.

The difference is they play on both ends and they are hungry.

This game and the last game vs MIL has exactly shown the team's situation. We will be outmatched by ALL better teams in the league, as simple as that. We need a better coach, that can make some in game adjustment, and we need more defense and rebounding.
