We need Tyson to win this game. Is he playing?

Hopefully little general doesn't hold any grudge towards the Mavs.

Tyson Chandler was back for practice on Wednesday - and for an elongated film session that the coaches put the players through.

Chandler missed two practices and Tuesday's game against Golden State with a stomach illness. Coach Rick Carlisle said the starting center wasn't 100 percent at Wednesday's sessions, but that if he continues to improve over the next 24 hours, he should be good to go against the Nets Thursday.

The Mavericks were OK against the smallish Warriors without Chandler, but the Nets are a bigger team and Chandler's return will be welcomed, no doubt.

Just in case they change their minds.

The 17-4 Mavs need Tyson Chandler to beat the 6-16 Nets?!? And at their home court for that matter? GTFO. We should be able to beat them even if DIRK was the one with the stomach flu. This game shouldnt even be close by halftime. Avery might have a few tricks up his sleeve in his first game coaching against his former team, but there is absolutely no excuse to lose this game.

RC really needs to incorporate DIRK more in the offense. He is so efficient and the Mavs offense should be running through their best player anyway.

Haywood is outplaying Chandler tonight.

Have you considered that maybe the reason he's so much more efficient this season is that we're not forcing the offense through him as predictably as we used to?

Man Tyson is playing like a bitch tonight. Im thinking RC should play with Haywood/Mahinmi for the majority of the 2nd half.

why is barea still in this game, he has done nothing but turn the ball over and force the mavs to go zone, stevenson deserves more minutes especially tonight. and harris hurt again, what else is new

Maybe, but I doubt it. DIRK has always been efficient. I rather DIRK take the most shots than be equal in FGA with Butler and Terry. Championship teams need an established heirarchy to win. Butler & Terry may get the wrong impression that they should be taking shots in the crunch time of close games when in actuality it should be DIRK and only DIRK.

Haywood is playing great tonight even making a free throw. The Nets are really trying to deny Kidd the ball as soon as the Mavs gain offensive possesion.

Wrong! The longer the Mavs can ride Terry and Butler this season the better for the Mavs and Dirk. Dirk needs help and like the other two is a pro and does not have to worry about this being his team.

Terry and Barea are really attacking the basket this 4th quarter and Humphries is playing the game of his life.

That was a really nice find by Barea to get Mahinmi a free dunk. The Mavs have also turned up the D on the Nets.

Chandler is getting abused by Brook Lopez. Chandler is a much better help defender than he is post defender.
