We clinch the playoff. We can now rest the players and tank a bit.

Currently 19th pick , but Orlando will most likely drop moving us to 20th

Dallas-36-28 2 games left
@ Chi
@ Atl

Orlando-36-26 4 games left
@ Uta
@ Den
Vs Cha
@ Mem

Boston-37-27  2 games left
Vs Mia
Vs Mil

Atlanta-38-25. 3 games left
Vs NY
Vs La Clip
Vs Dal

If we lose both games we keep the pick 20th and possibly stat at 19th.

If we win both games then Boston has to win 2 games and Atlanta needs to win 1.

If we win 1 and lose 1 then Boston has to win Atleast 1.

Moultrie should be the guy, if not, that will mean that Leonard or Zeller, or maybe Henson are slipping...

For me Moultrie should be available at 19/20, if not, I will go with a SF.

We need to get a PF/C or a SF.

Henson, Leonard, Zeller, Moultrie
Harkless, Barton, Mitchell, Taylor

I've got Moultrie ranked just at 19# spot so...

Davis
Kidd-Gilchrist
Robinson
Drummond
Barnes
Beal
Sullinger
JLamb
Henson
Rivers
TJones
PJones
Leonard
Marshall
Zeller
Lillard
Ross
Teague
Moultrie

1 Down 1 to go. If Boston wins 1 game or we lose @ Atlanta we keep the pick.

And we are down to the 18th Pick.

We should lose one more to make sure Denver don't take our pick and we won't face LAL. Denver would likely lose to OKC but win over MIN & ORL.

I agree if we lose to Atlanta we are guaranteed a pick.
If Boston Wins before then we are guaranteed a pick.
Hopefuly Denver can win out then we are guaranteed a pick and the 7th seed against OKC.

Assumed there're some more teams (like Denver, Philadelphia, New York, Orlando, Dallas) win 36 for the season. How would the pick ranked? I would like a chance to Meyers Leonard.

I don't know anything about college basketball, so I won't comment about specific players. But I don't want to draft a center, every rookie center is a long term project, and that's not what this team needs.

I'm more concerned with finding a successor to Marion, a SF wing defender who can hopefully nail threes. Players like that are much easier to develop and integrate into the rotation while still trying to contend.

With our draft record, I don't trust Donnie going for a home run, just try and get a serviceable player out of the deal. I'd love if we could get a guy like Iman Shumpert, Kawhi Leonard, or Landry Fields that would be ready to contribute right away.

I am totally confused by all the comments in this thread about how we should basically give this pick away. Do people not understand the value of adding good young players to your roster? The Spurs clearly know the value. Every year they add players that contribute. The George Hills and Dejuan Blairs are out there for the taking. There is going to be good players available even later in the first round. I think this team needs to add some youth while they are trying to get some pieces around Dirk for a final run in his career. We cannot just forget about the future.

Roddy was drafted in the mid 20's as well as the guys I mentioned earlier and many other solid players. Josh Howard we got late.

Folks in this thread totally undervalue draft picks.

If I thought the small financial commitment you have to make to a 1st rounder would be the difference between us getting Deron Williams or not then I would say trade the pick for a future 1st rounder but I don't see that as true.

We could trade our 1st+Odom to Sacramento for their 2nd round, and draft Darius Miller there, he will contribute right away and is a good SF, with size and good hands, and he defends.

Another option is local product FA Damion James, injury prone, but he's a good prospect, and he will be cheap.

If I'm Donnie I will try DJ and also, Anthony Randolph, Dallas native and a good C prospect if he evolves in anyway.

If we keep our pick and don't trade it with Odom, I'm sure we're doing this but..., I will target Will Barton if Moultrie is gone, he's a swingman with an oustanding motor, good defender, a beast on the boards, reminds me a lot of JHo, in a good way.
