Again, I've said it before and I'm pretty sure Carlisle wants to draw a big defender away from the basket by setting Dirk up on the perimeter which give Kaman more room to operate in the low post but this is a bad defensive lineup.
This means that Dirk becomes a decoy ... a spot up shooter and Kaman is our #1 post offensive option.
I know Dirk and Kaman kind of occupy the same space - Dirk in the mid-post and Kaman in the low-post and you can say Dirk is still working himself back into game shape but I think we should let him get some touches in the post while he works into shape.
Fully agree, Matt Harpring (of all people) was going on about this as well. Both of them on the court together does not work at all. Not enough space for both of them to work and Dirk is finding himself camping on the perimeter more than usual. I'd rather us start Brand at C and Kaman coming off the bench as our offensive player (with Carter)
